Yep like I said in the description, it was an extremely well made and unique mission. I was fortunate to fill-in as a DM on a mission that was extremely DM friendly. I'm trying to "drum" up desire for the actual platoon DM slots to be filled. If this video doesn't do it, I don't know what will.
I was in the Army for 9 years and you can tell who was in and who were not in the military but people are playing and using the right procedures. I have been out since 1991. A lot has changed since then. I think this group plays as a reality and it all for fun one of my friend who is still in plays the game he told me it helps with his stress.
The great thing about ArmA is its relatively low time commitment. Once you get through all your initial training requirements(which are seriously legit and needed, and will teach you a LOT), it's about 4-6 hours per week.
Nice! I'm British too. Well half and half - you need a squad of 22nd SAS to turn up in your vids.....Very entertaining as usual. Edit: I forgot to add: THANKS! Best, Pete.
I am happy to see that a member of the Tactical realism community is getting some view; I was wondering if you guys were still part of the NATO pact with 7CMBG, I know that 7CMBG moved to ArmA 3 awhile back and I was wondering if you guys are also.
ACE mod has both a safety for weapons and the ability to stabilize your weapon on something (rock, wall, another person's shoulder) with or without a bipod.
Hey Drum, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be joining the 15th coming this winter season. I should be settled into college by then and I have a pretty workable schedule for things like this. Hope to see you in the field.
I think your refering to the wind indicatior, Its shift-K and it shows the wind direction (arrow) and the colour is the wind speed) think it goes from white to red with red being the strongest :) Helps when taking long range shots :)
There's no 'snipers' in the platoon structure. There are designated marksmen, but there is only one per platoon, and in order to get the position you are usually competing with the top 3-5 guys in the platoon.
Dude how did you get these mods from Armaholic or some other site because to get mods you need 7-zip and to download 7-zip you need jzip and jzip has a virus so how did you do this?
I love how in beginning when he tells, the, mission they all, talk in the back, ground like it would,be in real life I heard 1 guy say he was ganna have a heat stroke lol
Still learning to play this game and also tweaking my mouse so it wont go allover the place and shoot smooth got it down just have to play more very cool.
Army guy came into school once. Kid in the front row asked him if he'd ever killed anyone, whole room gives him a death stare, I almost punched him. The army guy calmly replies "Let's just say I have run into insurgents in the field before, and I'm still here. I'l let you figure it out.".
Yeah that would definitely work for me. I tried to join Shacktac a few years ago, I was about fifteen or fourteen, and they kinda scared me off of it by improperly explaining a few things and random things like that. I have nothing against their community and to be honest I wasn't exactly ready to join something like that. I'm waiting until Winter to make sure I'm settled, and to make sure that I am ready this time. More or less just a precautionary step.
Sure is. They are running a fair few mods though, nothing that dramatically changes graphical elements though (besides the custom US Army skins and I think the BlastCore effects mod).
1. We're sick of Stratis 2. The last Beta update broke nearly all mods we use and we've been waiting on a fix/update for "the big one" which is coming out today. So don't worry. "Soon"™
im on 15:28 and there was a hill to the left. i would of take that hill. but then they could would see you and maybe that would be making your team at risk.
This was brilliant. I'm amazed by the amount of role-playing and authenticity of the whole thing, well done guys. :)

The two fonts I use are Ambulance Shotgun(From Generation Kill), and Mandatory(for captions).
This is how I wish ARMA was played, not a whole bunch of zombie bullshit.

Damn Drumheller, that's really elite shooting dude, outstanding example Capt.
I know, I meant we couldn't see the whole thing here but the aftermath when the civi was shot. Good shit bro, 15th guys are staying sharp.
that's some damn good shooting (around 21/22/23 minutes in) ! with that 'Kentucky windage' even .... nice work.
Sick sniping when those guys were walking down from that ridge near the end!!!!!
Reminds me of North Afghanistan, whew.....memories.
I almost lost it when you just yelled, "ELLO CHAPS" at the Brits. Lol. It just came outta no where.
/watch?v=A6tA7vzGHwo&t=11m40s
I could turn em completely off, but I like the small bit of immersion they add... except for the times that they float in the air :p
This hour video was better than most movies
Nice! I'm British too. Well half and half - you need a squad of 22nd SAS to turn up in your vids.....Very entertaining as usual. Edit: I forgot to add: THANKS! Best, Pete.
Superb video, enjoyed every minute of it. Great shooting as well
ArmA 3, hands down, no questions.
Real awesome work Jester. Been youtubing you for awhile. Hope to aquire arma3 soon.
oh oh busy valley. nice work guys, i wish i could join that mission
Watched a lot of ur realism vids and this is my favourite so far ;)
I am happy to see that a member of the Tactical realism community is getting some view; I was wondering if you guys were still part of the NATO pact with 7CMBG, I know that 7CMBG moved to ArmA 3 awhile back and I was wondering if you guys are also.
Drum... You are a BEAST on the DMR....
ACE mod has both a safety for weapons and the ability to stabilize your weapon on something (rock, wall, another person's shoulder) with or without a bipod.

"bring a friend" next thing you know jesters entire fans show up
Shift+1 I believe is the default key for ACE
Fairly well executed mission, enjoyed the video.
I think your refering to the wind indicatior, Its shift-K and it shows the wind direction (arrow) and the colour is the wind speed) think it goes from white to red with red being the strongest :) Helps when taking long range shots :)
also, DAMN good shooting on overwatch, way to lob those shots in there Jester.
when?
Smoke in ArmA is EXTREMELY effective.
so how expensive of a system do I have to purchase to be able to run this game this well?
I think the guy just standing looking at you from the ridge was committing suicide...."Death by Drum!"
Jest, I have seen loads of your vids. You've earned my Subscription.
There's no 'snipers' in the platoon structure. There are designated marksmen, but there is only one per platoon, and in order to get the position you are usually competing with the top 3-5 guys in the platoon.
Who is the team leader? Super chill, like he had taken some valium.
huh? when?
Dude how did you get these mods from Armaholic or some other site because to get mods you need 7-zip and to download 7-zip you need jzip and jzip has a virus so how did you do this?
im so glad i subbed to u your vids have been great once in a while i watch your vids cause they just so good
that was some badass shooting
He is checking the direction of the wind so he can adjust his aim. Wind effects the flight path of bullets in ACE.
I love how in beginning when he tells, the, mission they all, talk in the back, ground like it would,be in real life I heard 1 guy say he was ganna have a heat stroke lol
I think they are referencing the arrow that shows wind direction. I think thats what it means. You would know obviously.
The sounds at the end caught me off guard.
How did you do the "hot switch" to your M110? I mean, without opening your gear and pressing In Hands.
This was outstanding!!! How do I team up with you Devil Dogs? I'm an older Marine, served from 90-96 Lima 3/2, Semper Fi!!! Cpl. Estrada
In case you still need a tip: 15 Meu Arma Realism Core, www.15thmeu.net/
Much Respect.
great video man i subscribed
I was just being polite! Cheerio Mate!
how did you open the sketch-book with the range for the moa.
Do you guys ever use the M24 SWS for your marksmen? It would be kinda cool to see some gameplay of one of those...
What weapon mods do you or the 15th use? I notice you're m4s and m16 are different than vanilla as well as the Para Saws. Just a sincere question.
Drum, you should be the chief of all those guys.
@22.50 Damn nice shooting!
AWWWW The good old days,,,
I'll take your word for it
Do you think it's improved in A3? What with the adjustable levels of crouch and things like that.
What was with the RP at about thirty four minutes? Marking something?
Isint up arrow and down arrow? and left and right arrow for changing for wind?
Awesome. Were you playing with your company? I just joined 15th a week ago, but saw a friend from the recruiting server on one of your videos.
would you use snipers if someone wanted to fill the roll? I mean it couldn't hurt to have one
Hey, how many gigs is Arma 2 after its compressed, and how many gigs for download?
on steam its about 8-10 gigabytes.
Mine was 2-3 on steam nothing to big with my 3 upload it only took 20 mins.
Still learning to play this game and also tweaking my mouse so it wont go allover the place and shoot smooth got it down just have to play more very cool.
wind direction and strength.
That was so cool mission. Ty for this.
Never offer a British infantryman tea. He will take you up on it every time.
Awesome video once again!

Love you Jester! No homo... Keep it up! And if you can do some more Arma 3 missions!!!

Is this actually ArmA 2 ? if so how do you make it look so good.
Sure is. They are running a fair few mods though, nothing that dramatically changes graphical elements though (besides the custom US Army skins and I think the BlastCore effects mod).
speakerbox2468 How do ijoin a group like this? I really enjoy immersion gameplay
Do military's use this game if so which military's ? Im just really curious.

So don't worry. "Soon"™
"Hello chaps, care for a spot of tea" lol.
Good video as always.
how do you do that sniper stuff, like the ranging.
No 720? or is it still rendering?
Jester, here's an off the wall question:
What font do you use for your mission intro?
How many kills did you get on that hop Drumm
I love ur Arma 2 vids but what ever happened to the coop gameplay of ArmA 3??
Jester, what is the difference between a designated marksman and a sniper?
Hi i'm in the process of registering for the 15th MEU and was wondering what headset you'd recommend using?
wicked uploads by the way!!
How do you adjust range settings to adjust for bullet drop?
Your British accent made me laugh! You actually sounded more Swedish ha ha ha what what what :-)
What mod was he using?. Please Reply.
Ace, probably alot of others
Ok
Fighting guns for something a bomb could take care of. I think our generals love a bloodbath! lol
You can make 1 shot 1 kills. (windage/4) x Crosswinds. Wind direction on the leftside - , right +
im on 15:28 and there was a hill to the left. i would of take that hill. but then they could would see you and maybe that would be making your team at risk.
Please make it high quality
Oh no, thank YOU.
Is this game really worth it? can you play it offline or is it just online gameplay?
It says weapon deployed, so I'm assuming either that's the safety or a bipod. I don't know if the mods he uses have a safety, so I'm assuming bipod.
OH. Yes that's wind direction and strength.
You forgot to put in Operation Arrowhead or for short OA. ArmA 2 and ArmA 2 OA are definitely different.
