When Cookie was trying to make Lisa jealous with a mannequin but Evelyn yelled "stay away from my man sister!" and just straight up tackles the mannequin 😂
Her character and London Tipton were the first Asian American TV characters from my childhood that didn’t fall into that typical Asian American stereotype of passive nerd etc. Evelyn WAS smart but she was very passionate, outspoken, and strong-willed
I loved london and Ashley tisdale in suite life! Asian was the preppy dumb girl and the blond was the smart hard hard worker but both were good characters wth their own flaws and skills
But let's not give the writers too much credit. London was originally scripted to be played by Ashley, while Song was supposed to be the smart candy girl. They switched it when they realized Brenda was better as London. Not even because of the stereotype. And Evelyn was originally supposed to be a white male that was cookies rival. Evelyn was made instead when they fell in love with the actor. So.. ya.. the writers weren't ahead of their time. It just worked out that way lol
Wow her story about her son and pregnancy while balancing acting was a wild rush of emotions. She is crazy strong to be able to reflect on all this and talk about it with full composure. What an amazing woman
The best thing about this pod is seeing how close you are with every guest, and how there is not one shred of ego, you guys clearly just love being in each other's company and that joy radiates through the screen.
They should invite Faymen Phorchine. The guy from season 3 who was dating Lindzey's character. he was in his early 20s acting as a middle schooler. and Kissing a actual middle schooler on TV. Scott Fellows the creator of the show probably friends with Dan Schneider.

The kids of James Polk middle school (class of 2007) turned out alright! EDIT: Just to clear up some confusion. Michelle may be the best guest you’ve had on here. The quality, authenticity, humanity and warmth of your conversation was extremely palpable. It would be great to see her back on someday!
Wow Michelle seems very emotionally intelligent to me. It seems she really handles the situations life has with grace. I hope she finds balance with her acting and her family! ⭐️🪄🌱
Thank you Michelle for highlighting the internal struggle that alot of parents especially moms go through about prioritizing career or family!!! Ur story is deeply inspiring
Billy Loomer. Now Evelyn Kwong. It's fun to see that the bully/evil rival character was played by the nicest of people. Michelle was a delight. What a journey she's been through.
My heart is so full seeing Michelle Kim. Lindsay, Michelle, and I are about the same age. I'm adopted and Asian American. Seeing Michelle being on a show that I loved made me feel seen in a way I didn't know I needed. I was lucky and no one looked at me funny when I (Korean girl) was out with my Italian mom and my Irish/German dad. Everyone made me feel welcomed and supported. But seeing someone that looked like me, sounded like me, was a working actor made me feel so proud and made my heart full. I was like this could be me some day. Representation was strong. And way to got Scott for changing the role of the white male nerd to an Asian woman instead. He was so far ahead of everything it is amazing to see and relive while watching the show and listening to the pod. Idk if Michelle will ever see this but thank you for being such an important part of my life. And for showing me what is possible. I still want to act. It has always been my dream but life happens and even now hearing your struggles shows me it will be ok. Knowing everything you have been through and still seeing this amazing strong woman...really what I needed today. Thank you and to the whole Ned's crew ❤
Evelyn’s character ALWAYS made me laugh (and laugh HARD) as a kid watching the show, Glad Michelle and the other cast members who appeared on the podcast are doing well. This is my favorite podcast show right now! it’s nostalgic, funny, authentic and just overall great! Keep it up guys
Honestly love this pod… this has to be one of the only tv pods that can actually have old characters and directors back because there’s not a bunch of drama and bad experiences
this was such a great podcast. Michelle's vulnerability was amazing! So grateful for the perspective she could offer as a person of faith and Asian American actress!!
I loved how Michelle gasped and Lindsey screamed when they found out that Daniel & Michelle were each other’s first kiss lol. This ep was so good and Michelle was so awesome, really hope she’s back for when you guys get to the third season!
This podcast’s journey has been amazing. Not only the nostalgic of the show and going over it from yalls point of view but as well the back stories of actors and actresses we grew up with and knowing the world has been tough for all of us and still pushing. This podcast has been a great idea and like a more in depth “where are they now” keep up the good work!
This was such a healing episode. LOVED the format of Lindsey interviewing/asking questions, loved seeing Daniel come out of his shell a bit when he’s not just third wheeling the pod, loved devin sitting back and learning while also being so understanding and empathetic. Sitting with a group of friends who really understand you is so powerful, and it’s awesome to witness you all finding each other again. I think it’s healing for all of us 😂
Michelle's experience in motherhood and her faith in God are truly commendable. Very inspiring how she's been able to both able to make peace and provide testimony after facing such adversity.
This was great to see! Evelyn was one of my favorite characters. When the strike ends, y’all gotta bring in more Neds OG’s like Suzie, Claire Sawyer Future Lawyer, Lisa Zemo, Seth Powers, The Huge Crew, Missy Meany(she was on Devon’s personal podcast) Martin Qwerly, Vice Principal Crubbs, Professor Sweeney, and Coach Dirga. It's refreshing to see a group of actors (more so child actors) who genuinely show their gratitude towards their parents and peers in an industry that is filled with ego and self-importance. I especially admire Michelle for her maturity and steadfastness towards herself and her family. Hope to continue following the podcast more!

And, thank you, Michelle, for joining them this week, you are truly inspirational. Please come back on here, especially when they get to your episodes. All the best to all of you!
Coming back to this episode a day later because I found myself saying through tears today, "I'm so glad for the time I had with my parents", inspired by Evelyn saying she was so grateful for the 2 years when she thought her son wasn't going to make it. I am 30 now and lost my parents at 24 and 28, and I have had a hard time with resentments, despite knowing I am being too harsh, and it's causing me pain. But today, inspired by Evelyn, if she could feel gratefulness for two years, it put into perspective how I had 24 and 28 beautiful years. And any bad parts, any mistakes, I'm now thankful for that too because if I can understand and forgive my parents, I can understand and forgive myself too and anyone else. ❤️ I love the vulnerability domino effect. Thanks for sharing your story, Evelyn. It just changed mine.

You guys have been on an amazing roll lately with all of the guest/former cast members appearing. This podcast really brings me back to that time in my adolescent life
Ugh, this podcast is everything. 😢❤ Thank you so much for doing it. Ned's use to be my favorite show. The summer after fifth grade I remember being very nervous for middle school to start. So mid-July I got a notepad from my mom's spare stack of notepads and started writing down all the tips in number order to pausing and playing the episode on the DVR to make sure I had written down the full tip WITH the little cartoon drawing in it. It's such a core memory. Still use the turning lock combination twice now when I go to the gym as an adult. Used it all throughout middle school phys ed class, and my high school locker. Would love if y'all would ever consider bringing un some of us fans to hear about how the episodes also made us feel!
I need her to do her own podcast because she is soooo relateable. Speaking up about the realitiy of going through a miscarraige and having SOOOOO much confliction.
These stories are so touching and eye opening. I’m so grateful for your podcast and for everyone opening up the way that they are. This is so amazing and so sad at the same time but very much useful and appreciated.
I love how Devon talks about the moms not raising their children right! As a former preschool teacher parents are the root of the problem not the children.
Loved seeing Michelle on the podcast. Thank you guys for creating a safe and inviting space where she felt comfortable to share her story and about her faith. It just goes to show how wonderful you three are. I'm so glad she felt comfortable to share. Her words hit me deep. What a delight! Absolute great podcast once again. Much love to you all!
Wow she is an amazing woman who is so strong. Also kudos to you guys for making her feel comfortable with her faith I really appreciate that you did that and I’m sure she appreciated it too ❤
Wow i was literally just thinking like a day or two ago about if they would ever bring Evelyn(Michelle) on the podcast. Thank you Devon, Lindsey and Daniel for bringing her and so many great guests on the show. I've been rewatching all of Neds Declassified on Paramount Plus and the shows brings me so many good memories and still holds up so well. The show is so full of positivity and i can tell that everyone on set had a good time. Thanks for bringing back my childhood. ❤
MIchelle's character Evelyn was a latecomer to the series but damn I will say she QUICKLY made an impression and became one of my favorite characters due to her constant intensity.
This pod makes me very happy. It makes me really sad that Devin hasn’t been able to land a role after 20 years. I would support anything you do man, keep pushing. You’re all so genuine and I appriciate what you’re doing with this show.
This was really healing for me. As a youtuber with 140k and 300k on tiktok i often struggle with the acting world and having the subscriber count. I see my friends get more success and I’m barely scratching the surface. The fact that devin said auditioning for 20 years really hit. I would love to collab with you guys. Let me know
Mannn I crieddd. She is so strong and inspiring. Also SO funny. Incredible energy. The talk about chasing/letting go of "the dream" is so interesting and everybody can feel perceived and understood by this. Real life lessons as always. Never disappointed. Love all the guests and the lovely friendly touching interactions. I remember watching Neds religiously at my grandparents during the summer, before starting middle school. I was terrified and it helped my anxiety so much. I think Im gonna rewatch it all 😂 such good memories. You have all grown up into such lovely humans with excellent perspectives about navigating the world and life and heartwarming vulnerability. So great to see. Can't believe the podcast is not even a year old. A gift! Happy you are all healing. You help me heal by this podcast too. The show changed lives but the pod is doing it too, maybe even more. Xxx What a journey. Full circle. (Sorry if Im not too clear, english is my second language)
I really appreciate when religious/spiritual people don’t hide away the fact that they are spiritual but also don’t make that a huge part of who they present themselves as. Like when Michelle talks about her prayers and references the Bible but at no point overtly talks about her faith. Love that.
It's so lovely hearing someone from my childhood talk about God ❤ Shows used to bring up church a lot and being raised Christian, I literally used to think all the child stars I watched were also Christian 😂
Nothing warms my childhood heart than hearing how positive the experience on Ned was. In a world where that is not the norm I really appreciate the positivity you guys put out.
Michelle talking so open about god and the bible was a huge positive surprise for me! Often times religion gets down talked nowadays but many people forget how beautiful the messages of the bible can be and strengthen ones resolve to live on. Nice episode!
I love how deep these talks get. Ned's Declassified was what I needed trying to survive as a kid, and now Ned's Declassified (Podcast) IS what's giving me some perspective and peace trying to survive as an adult.
it just keeps getting better and better! Michelle is a treasure trove of deep, practical tips, she dropped nuggets of gold the whole time, keep up the good work, y'all!
It makes me happy that the Ned’s crew had positive experiences and were allowed to be kids. I hope more young actors have more positive experiences like that
It is so nice to see her! And I absolutely understand where her apprehension lied in doing this and I am so glad she decided to reunite for the podcast because as a viewer who was just hoping for a lack of pretension and that is exactly what this is! It feels like friends talking about memories and their lives. It is why I love the IASIP Pod and why I love this one
Know what? You guys should eventually do little 5-10 minute skits every once in a while with each other and with guests if they are down. Would be extremely amazing and I’m sure all of us Ned fans would appreciate it especially since that Ned reboot is unable to happen atm
Michelle Kim is looking GREAT! This was a really interesting episode to listen to where she just kinda took the reins with the conversation and ran with it. She's lived an interesting life and I'm glad she's doing well for herself now.

I need her to do her own podcast because she is soooo relateable. Speaking up about the realitiy of going through a miscarraige and having SOOOOO much confliction.
I've never watched a single episode of the show they were on. TH-cam just recommended me this. So here I am. Listening to this whole episode.
This was the best episode yet I think. So moving and you guys make it feel like we’re part of it and were there with you.
YAY, making everyone’s Wednesdays better! Love you guys ❤
We love you!!
5:19 actually died when Kim busted out the moves 😂😂
15 mins in and this is the funniest episode so far. Laughing nonstop
Welp
@@bootleg317 switched from hilarious to real and grounded. Loved the episode all the way through
Moms are needed. Really really needed. Great moms are the most important thing to the universe.
After hearing her story, she truly is awesome. Great to see Michelle doing well.
God Bless.
This podcast takes me back to my childhood every week. Thank you.
I love how genuine you all are. It brings happy tears.
My favorite guest on the pod so far! Her story and her faith are so inspiring! Love this pod so much 💖 The best part of my week
This episode brought tears to my eyes. Tysm michelle for coming on the pod, it’s so good to see her thriving.
Wow she is an amazing woman who is so strong. Also kudos to you guys for making her feel comfortable with her faith I really appreciate that you did that and I’m sure she appreciated it too ❤
I agree. I'm glad they created such a safe and warm space that she felt comfortable being herself and sharing her faith.
I really appreciate that too!
It’s really cool to see the amount of the cast that came back that’s really dope
Thanks! Love you guys👍
Her story was beautiful & was so inspiring. Definitely helped me with what I’m going through in my life. LOVE THIS EPISODE!!!
Evelyn was super hype and excited to be apart of this amazing podcast I can tell; she's so smooth on being herself ..great topics on this one
This is such a great episode. Michelle has so much wisdom.
omg I love her! Her passion, authenticity, vulnerability, and she shares it all so beautifully. She needs her own podcast! I want more of her!!!
The amount of constant eye contact from Dev and Dan to Michelle shows they were truly good friends
Xxx
What a journey. Full circle.
(Sorry if Im not too clear, english is my second language)
My favorite Evelyn moment is when she leaves cookie for Seth Powers
Evelyn : Look at him!
Seth Powers: 😬😁
Michelle Kim is a blessing to the world! Keep putting out that good and I love to see all the good that’s gonna come back! 🥰
This episode was so therapeutic and refreshing! Evelyns energy is amazing. She is so strong and knowledgeable
I really appreciate when religious/spiritual people don’t hide away the fact that they are spiritual but also don’t make that a huge part of who they present themselves as. Like when Michelle talks about her prayers and references the Bible but at no point overtly talks about her faith. Love that.
Even if she did, there's nothing wrong with that.
It's so lovely hearing someone from my childhood talk about God ❤ Shows used to bring up church a lot and being raised Christian, I literally used to think all the child stars I watched were also Christian 😂
The guests keep coming and I’m here for it!!!!!! Always love the pod
I love how she quoted scripture so naturally. The podcast can go off on some weird topics, but today we heard a little bit of God. So beautiful.
Yeah, the way she compared that quote from the book of Job to her situation with her ailing child was beautiful.
Im so glad she shared that, some people need to hear this. I sure did.
The best guest ya'll have had on yet! Incredible conversation. ♥
Yo Michelle's story about her son and that bad summer made me drop a tear. Love this pod!
One of the best podcast episodes I've ever seen...what an incredible woman.
Michelle Kim is looking GREAT! This was a really interesting episode to listen to where she just kinda took the reins with the conversation and ran with it. She's lived an interesting life and I'm glad she's doing well for herself now.
This episode was so good! Thank you for bringing her on! God bless her and all of you.
