But Glenn never does massive tours like Ian, even by his own admission when he joined Purple the tours weren't incessant. Ian has always toured ALOT in and out of Purple.
Yes... Undertuning it, slowering it... He maybe kept the falsetto better than Ian but for the rest, at least on this song, he's pretty lame. This is Ian yesterday th-cam.com/video/UyZJMBPTZ3k/w-d-xo.htmlsi=N_emxgMHQU-Wp83Q
Hughes is starting to sound like he’s going through the motions. Lost his mid-range and he’s either screaming or just talking the lyrics. Hope he’s okay.
He's old and he's 75 what do you want? and he doesn't sound like that at all, He plays and sings great. You are the only one to say that out of 500 comments I observed so by popular vote you are wrong. I challenge you to find any rock star his age that can hit those high notes live and post it here,.You won't won't be able to do it.
@@georgespogacich3066 that's because he's very affeminate and sings like a woman and that type of screeching can usually still be done into old age. Look at Timothy b Smith from the eagles, similar type of affeminate high voice, only that Timothy is and was an excellent singer not just a schreecher like Hughes.
@@martymartin2894 Timothy B. Schmit not Smith. You don't even know his last name. lol. Anyway that not what I asked for. I asked for you to show me an outstanding demonstration of vocal register, not this Timothy B guy who sings in one mid-tone voice that anyone can do. So what? That doesn't show any development in the elasticity of the vocal muscles at all. Glenn Hughes is the one that sang the high parts in Highway Star, not Ian Gillan, and that is an iconic song. It was recently redone with Vai as the guitar player, and he says Hughes is incredible because he's still able to do the same thing he did when he was young, which is rare. He knows way more than you by the way. Who are people gonna listen to Vai or you? You failed to prove your case.Timothy B. Schmit does not show the vocal range. Go back and show me someone at 75 who can hit those high notes like Hughes. Right now, you just gave me a silly example of a 75-year-old, Timothy B. Schmit, singing easy songs that anyone can sing. That's not going to satisfy. This is looking pretty silly at the moment if that's what you came up with.😂
@@martymartin2894 When I challenged you to bring me a singer in his 70s who can hit those high notes, you came back with Timothy B. Schmit-who, by the way, you didn’t even know the last name of! That tells me you had to Google 'singers in their 70s' just to find someone, which is hilarious. It's like being asked to name a world-class chef and coming back with someone whose name you don't even know, then claiming they can make a gourmet meal because they know how to make toast. You couldn’t bring me a singer with the range and power of Glenn Hughes, so instead, you found someone singing mid-range easy songs that anyone can sing. It's not about just hitting notes-it's about how those notes are hit, and Hughes is still doing what very few can, even at 75. Meanwhile, you're over here trying to compare that with someone who stays in a comfortable vocal range. That’s just proving my point even more!
@@martymartin2894 Calling Glenn Hughes a "screecher" is inaccurate. Screeching means hitting wrong or uncontrolled notes, while Hughes hits high notes with precision and control, even at his age. You have to also have really good hearing as well to do that at his age. Whether you like it or not is personal preference, but any musician or music software can verify how perfectly Hughes nails those pitches.
Fantastic album Machine Head.... my first album that I bought with all lawn clipping $.

Great job George! Just as I remember it.
Thanks!!

I think Glenn has kept better than Ian

He's just 74 years old...
I´m glad I haven´t been there!
I think Glenn Messed it up👎
Missed lyrics, off key vocals, half baked delivery.
Sounds like he couldnt care less.
Don't like It...too slow and Glenn vocals doesn't fit the song.
1.25x - ideal
Fully agree. This has nothing to do with HS...
And should that be vocals?? or rap style...
Chickenfoot спели эту песню один в один с пëплом. Глен поëт ее отвратительно, лучше бы не пел....
Very good band but Hughes looks and sounds like an old granny
