Snowy Adventure at South Shore Nature Center

Join us as we explore the South Shore Nature Center in East Islip, NY, transformed into a winter wonderland by a fresh blanket of snow. This 200-acre preserve, established in 1977, features mature upland forests, freshwater wetlands, and expansive salt marshes, all connected by an extensive network of trails and boardwalks. The serene beauty of the snow-covered landscape provided a perfect backdrop for our family hike. We also captured stunning aerial footage using our DJI Mavic Mini 2 Pro drone, showcasing the park’s natural splendor from above. The South Shore Nature Center is a collaborative effort between the Town of Islip, Suffolk County, and The Nature Conservancy, offering visitors a chance to connect with nature year-round.
