Japanese maples come in a huge variety of colours, shapes and sizes. In this video I look at 30 of my own trees and discuss what I am looking at this time of year. Topics include, watering, position, arrangement repotting and more.
Ideal for beginners or more experienced Japanese Maple growers, in these videos I will show what practical steps I take to keep my Acer trees healthy during a year of gardening!

My Acer trees are my flowers. I prefer them over flowers. Nice collection. Moonrise is one of my favorites.

awsome video, amazing colors, the ukigumo looks neat rare i seen it that white. We have had alot of rain in demark, planted 15 different maples, my sango kaku died unfortunately from branch disease cant remember the name, my summer gold has died back in the middle of a branch looks odds, u experince that before :D? besides that rest of trees looking fine, they are planted in the ground :)

Hi I'm a new subscriber, had maples for years but just getting into the ins and outs so to speak.i bought what was labelled as a tromenburg from home bargains as the picture it looked really unusual.i came home and started looking into them,and the one i have,has five leaves,button the ones i seen on the pictures had more .do you think it's a true one or something else thanks x
They start with 5 leaves and kind of have 2 very small ones by the stem that become more obvious over time. Potentially you could have a seedling of that Cultivar which will be similar, but not genetically identical. Glad to have you on board!
My new Japanese maple Jack Frost dragon has almost died. As, a last ditch effort, what would you recommend? Thanks so much.
Liquid fertiliser and shade might help and don’t over water. Leave it to get slightly dry then between watering. 👍
