Barry Morse use to tell stories of how complete strangers would approach him on the street or in a restaurant trying to convince him that Dr. Kimble was innocent or he was "mean" for chasing Kimble in the first place. The funniest story Morse told was that he was having dinner at a restaurant and the waiter handed him the check with a note on the back that "Kimble is in the kitchen washing dishes."
Lol. My mama got me into watching The Fugitive, because I wanted to see what she found so fascinating about it. She would be rooting for David Jensen to get away, and would smile when he did. I know if David Jensen had been a real fugitive, and knocked on our door, my mama would have hid him well, in our home, as long as he wanted. Lol. Could be David Jensen was the most loved actor, in Hollywood. Now I'm just like my mama, enjoying these episodes.
When I first saw the show 2 years ago I hated Gerard so much. That show how good Barry Morse portrayed the character. After I saw him introducing the episode I liked him.
When Space 1999 debuted a newspaper columnist wrote that Morse had played the "despicable" Lt. Gerard. But I never found him despicable, just misguided.
The absolute best episode or episodes of the fugitive only SUSAN OLIVER could get Richard Kimble to sing not Angie Dickinson Tuesday weld Joanna petter Laura Devon lois nettleton. Patricia Crowley Suzanne pleshette Diane baker. Brenda Scott Janice rule etc. only SUSAN OLIVER ad remember Lars Christian sails of quality
Yeah I’ve seen ALL of the episodes of The Fugitive I love the series my 3rd day TV series next to The Twilight Zone and Rawhide (incidentally Susan Oliver is a guest star in all 3) and I tell you I pretty much Despise the final episode of The Fugitive it’s contrived. Far fetched and ridiculous it detracts from the series in my opinion but I guess they had to make a denouement to the series I found it STUPID actually the first seasons are really good by the 3RD season they we’re starting to run out of ideas and Kimble’s escapes were getting ludicrous the Fourth seaso in color pretty much all of the episodes sucked and they ran out of ideas both for stories done earlier and better before and Kimbles escapes became down right ridiculous forget all the episodes in color except a couple. If I was David Jansen Richard Kimble after the last episode was resolved I would have dumped Diane Baker and Stanford Indiana and headed west just for old times sake and headed th Santa Barbara California and become a sail maker with Karen Christian and lived happily ever after
In another introduction, perhaps the first of the series, Morse explained that he was born in London and had married a Canadian woman. They lived in Canada. I never would have guessed that.
@@TomTimeTraveler glad you enjoyed it. For your compliment I have an inside tidbit for you. Beverly Garland wrote in her book that she had briefly dated David Jansen, but that he was crazy about her roommate Bunny Cooper. That is my mom and it was her last name until she married Hank in 1959. Hollywood really can be a small world.
He described himself as "English" by birth -- and "Canadian" by choice.. he married a Canadian woman and moved to Canada in the early 50's, and shortly after became a Canadian citizen.
I loved the earlier black&white shows the best. The opening, where the train derails, is so erie and suspenseful. You're yelling at the TV: Run Kimble, run! It sets the mood for the whole show..... We all hated Girard (so that's good acting)!
Such an enchanting gentleman.
one of the best shows ever
Voted best show of all time
WITHOUT ANY SHADOW OF A DOUBT
Love this show all actors are very good

A Superb Actor!
Susan Oliver was quite the dish indeed 😁
Such a shame this episode was not in color. Susan had the most incredibly blue eyes.
Definitely enjoy Barry Morse introducing the episodes. Would have been too awesome if he and David Janssen could both have been doing it.
Amen to that .l always watch the series .l have just got on Ebay the most wanted edition. 😎

My dad Hank Searls wrote this two part episode.
😊
Where did Barry's accent come from?
In another introduction, perhaps the first of the series, Morse explained that he was born in London and had married a Canadian woman. They lived in Canada. I never would have guessed that.
He was from England.
The only episode where Kimble sings, serenading Karen on a boat.

@@petersearls4443 one of the top two episodes of all time.
