    This is the best makeover for drastic change and worthwhile improvments that I've ever seen on youtube. Living in the US but I'll be using some of these style choices.

    Very nicely done! It's amazing how something simple can make a yard look great, and taking the eyes off a weed or 2. BTW- Love the fire place chairs.

    The foam works, it’s really good considering it’s overall mass. The Germans have done it again! Thanks Sika!

  • @gr82bloved43
    @gr82bloved43 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I’ve used this ... it’s easy to use , although still not as good as regular concrete. Quikcrete mortar mix just as easy - poor the powder in - water and wait-
    It just depends on your project
    Have fun diy’ing !! 😉

    People tripping about the foam: read about it, it's actually very strong and for this non structural fence, it will work perfectly---although I would still prefer concrete there is nothing really wrong with it.For the tree huggers tripping balls about water usage: he said the garden is mostly shaded and he mulched. In addition buffalo grass and the shrubs he chose all have deep root systems, so watering will be minimal.

      Hate to live in the tree hugger neighbourhoods. All overgrown yards in the name of "conservation" when we all know it's really laziness lol.

    I wonder how long that expanding foam stuff would last for something that moved a lot - like a post with hinges for a gate that opened and closed frequently. It looks like any other kind of foam product, but of course lots of similar substances wear out, crack, break apart, etc.

    Whats the foam going to do to the environment in a few years ? Is it safe for small children and pets to be around, any one with kids and pets know they like to dig and put things in their mouth that the shouldn't.

      R Bear is concrete safe for small children ?

    • @rbear4574
      @rbear4574 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As far as I know concrete is safe for small children and pets, I've seen no reports on any health issues on concrete.

    • @hannahc-k1734
      @hannahc-k1734 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd say it is safe for children, especially if you're covering it with something like soil, Pets may dig it up but I'm not sure if they would be in danger from it - I guess it depend what you cover it with and how deep the soil is. As for the environment id say it is pretty safe also!

    There are too many gardenia bushes across the front of the house. They'll look good right now, when they go in, because there are so many of them. But soon, as they grow, they're going to turn into a huge mass of woody branches that will have to be cut often.

    • @jilliannitz8474

    My only question is why does the new turf look so dull and brown? Is that just because the turf here in the UK tends to be a lot greener?

  • @Autism_Forever

    I am against chopping trees down. Trees can be transplanted. That is what I did, and now I have gorgeous blooming apple tree and a jasmine bush, even though when I transplanted them, they looked like trash :) Always look at the birds, birds do not live on dead trees. If there are birds living on that tree or bush, the tree got many years of life ahead of it, especially if you fix it :) Chopping is the easiest, but following this logic, we then should have chopped all old people and sick infants, too.

    • @MrKillingfly
      @MrKillingfly 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Anna Gray its good to cut older trees and plant new ones. Older trees dont photosynthesis as much as the younger trees and they also produce more CO2 compare to younger trees so its no completely bad.
