Our Last Disney California Adventure Day! | Awesome Details, Redwood Challenge Trail & Corn Dogs!

- In today's vlog we head to Disney California Adventure and this is part 2 of our very last DCA day. Check out yesterday's vlog if you missed part 1, I'll link it down below too! On our way into the park we talk about some of the cool details and hidden Mickey's in the hotel. The Grand Californian, like many Disney resorts, have hidden Mickeys all around the hotel, in the carpet print and other places. Then we head into the park and we start with the Redwood Challenge Trail, this is a really neat interactive forest themed kids play area. Jackson loved the slides! They also have a rope walkway course, ziplines and more fun activities. Jackson couldn't do everything in the challenge trail but he loved the stuff he was big enough to do. Then we head over to Pixar Pier and we ride Jessie's Critter Carousel. Afterwards we walk over to Carsland and get to see that really amazing reveal by Radiator Springs Racers. We also got to ride Mater's Junkyard Jamboree and Luigi's Rollickin Roadsters, both had their Halloween overlays and decorations at the time of filming this video. We love seeing all of the Halloween decorations but Carsland has the best decorations by far! Everything was so cute! Once dinner time rolled around, we head back to the Pixar Pier area and have dinner at the Corn Dog Castle. We had a hot link and some cheese dogs! Everything was so nice! I love your videos. I hope when he’s grown up and he thinks of his first “cognitive” memories. Maybe that’s not the right word but, the memories that are your first to remember as a young person - that his first memories are Disney ones. The memories you’re making are together as a family are so precious.
I like how Jackson closed his eyes while eating his cheese stick.
I love the Baby Care Center at Disneyland. When my oldest was potty training we stopped in the Baby Care Center to discover they had miniature size porcelain toilets his size & pull ups if he needed a change. It was a god send!
I’m so glad Jackson got to ride the Towmater ride. My nieces always make fun of me because I love that ride so much. The theming is just so wonderful and the songs they play on normal days are so charming. Halloween themed songs are nice too.
I hope he gets to ride the zephyr and the jumping jelly fish on your next visit.
Man watching this and just seeing how much fun Jackson was having reminded me of taking our daughter at that age. So much fun and honestly some of the best times. Thanks for sharing this!
What fun all 3 of you had at DCA. You could really tell Jackson is having a fantastic time. His reactions to everything are precious.

Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters (2016) is so underrated. So seemingly simple and joyous - but so much more going on. You can see how its tech became a defacto prototype for ROTR (2019), Runaway Railway (2020), and Beauty and the Beast in Tokyo.
Jackson's little dance is so cute! He looks adorable in that little Winnie the Pooh shirt too. Then him enjoying the cheese stick was the icing on the cake.

I was thinking the same thing. When a ride is going or he's going down a slide, he is concentrating HARD. Just analyzing everything that's happening and trying to take it all in. It's only afterward that you can tell whether or not he liked it.

My sister and I took a nap on the cement at Rivers of America, waiting for Fantasmic! to start. A sweet family sat next to us and said they made sure no one bothered us. Then they bought us some ice cream and we became honorary members of their family for the rest of the night.

Tim if you stay at the Beach club you can walk right into Epcot it’s not even two minutes it’s one minute depending on where your room is located. It’s awesome that’s where my family has their time share and we love late night Epcot visits!
He has done that before but it’s still not like staying at the grand Californian and just easily walking into the park! It’s the best perk of DCA

Luigi's will always be a special memory. Got to ride it while they were shooting the ad before it opened, thanks to an amazing friend! I would pick the teal car like Jackson, I just don't remember having the choice. Too distracted with everything else going on! 😂

I can't wait to see the Traveling with a Toddler home vlog. What you learned NOT to do and what TO DO while traveling with a toddler. As I'm watching these I'm seeing you guys make the same mistakes I made. Lessons I had to learn so traveling with my second child was SO MUCH EASIER. I highly recommend looking up Ray Kinman. He is our local artist and a Disney Imagineer. He does wood carving and has created many of the wooden carved signs for Disneyland.
I live 10 minutes from Disney and I’ve never noticed those details in the hotel HA!
