Note: for the two Scottish Historical Romances on my TBR you'll see in the video I accidentally put books 2 & 3 onto my shelf but I have decided to re-read book 1 (which I read a year ago) and so books 1 and 2 are the correct books on my TBR for that series.

New subbie! Love your work! Just this week I was wondering what kind of fantasy book I would like to read from a genre I’ve never tried. Thank you for sharing the non magical fantasy idea; I will look into that and maybe discover some great new reads. Thank you for choosing and sharing books while using your faith as a filter. I have been watching your videos since discovering you on Instagram. This is my first time commenting. I really enjoy the cozy vibe of all of your videos. I do have a question however, do you have a list of any clean contemporary books written by black authors? I’m not a big fan of historical fiction.
Thank you so so much! I’ve tried to explore finding more black authors in the clean romance space and it’s definitely tough more so not because I don’t think they’re out there but more so because the visibility is probably not where the authors want it. The biggest name I haven’t read yet but have heard such great things about is Toni Shiloh! I own one of her books and she has a decent backlist and a contemporary romance release coming next year that I’m definitely going to check out. Two other black authors I’ve bought from but still need to read is India Hill Brown, she wrote a YA contemporary romance that she asked me to eventually read and review, and Olivia Matthews, who writes contemporary cozy mysteries and regular romances I think too! Hope that helps for now and thank you for asking the question.
