To buy genuine Mysore silk you need to visit govt emporium KSIC. And price of Mysore silk starts from 15 k .. it uses genuine gold in its border. I am sorry that someone has misled you..
@@rinisway2654 you have many KSIC showroom in Mysore... you have one next to zoo... you have one in KR circle and many more... Mysore silk saree will not be stiff... they come either in crape or georgette... they are soft silk saree... buy only from KSIC showroom... no other showroom...

They have multiple branches :- 1) Besides Coffee Cup, Opposite Nisargadhama, BM Road, Kushalnagar 2) Near Check Post, BM Road, Kushalnagar 3) BM Road, Baikeri 4) Besides Hotel Nakshathra Veg Koppa, BM Road, Kushalnagar Contact No. - 9482747112 You can also check out Banana silk Sarees which is famous at Coorg from Govn Emporiums :)

Each place had its own uniqueness. But I loved Coorg & Ooty more than Mysore because Mysore is a normal city.
