Latest report from the FIB: Farmers have been advised of some shady contractors who were stealing bales and fleecing the farmers out of a fortune. As of about a week ago farmers are now being advised to minimise this risk by splitting up their jobs into different parts and hiring separate contractors for each stage. Farmers should now only issue contracts for Mowing, check the yield on the field and then set up a contract for baling, count how many are being done and then offer a final contract for wrapping. This should at least reduce the risk of those dodgy contractors who would Mow, Bale, Wrap and then sell the bales while telling the farmer "sorry, I was only paid for 4 bails" when they were actually getting paid far more and pocketing the rest.
Nice video, just a little thing from a farmer ... you plowed the headlands the wrong direction, irl you should really leave the empty gutter on the outside of the field and do the headlands last so you arent running over where youve been. But it doesn't really matter for farm sim lol
Smashing series Mr Sealyp, I think the mulching is working as intended, you get a mulched state from chopping the straw residue when combining. So if you have straw swath on you don't get mulched state. i you look at your video when your looking at the map the gaps in the mulching state of field 5 are where the combine stopped so didn't drop the "mulched straw" the other 2 fields either you collected the straw (3) or was not a straw crop.
Chopping straw gives mulched status (which also explains those non-mulched areas where the harvester haven't started to spew out the chopped straw quickly enough to cover it all.
Last night I took a cotton harvesting contract on field 78 last night. I harvested it completely but did not get enough cotton off it to finish the contract.
The ones with the JD cotton harvesters are the ones that are having problems because you can't unload an unfinished bale. The case you can unload unfinished bales
Hi MrSealyp. If you park a flatbed trailer over the box trigger markings at the bale & pallet shed your bale/pallets will appear next to the trailer. Please pass this on to everyone. ty👍
8:41 so that red dot going away in-cab view makes me wonder, I’m on PC and the only bug I have experienced is sometimes (can’t find a way to reproduce), going in cab will just kill frame rates (60fps down to ~3fps) which will persist no matter what I do until I exit and the game and re-launch. There’s obviously something that happens to the graphics engine when going in cab.
Hello mate my graphic are on ultra and the game rendering is really poor the decal on the vehicle like the name challenger doesn't rendering in correctly or the in cab computer or the writing on the pillers when I exit the game and reload the game is unplayable stutters and judders even if I put the graphics on lowest setting still the same
Great series so far! Auto boom height and crop bending was a thing in 22. And there were mods that enhanced its effect further. I think as a PC player it’s a lot harder to appreciate the base game additions. Even different colors of dirty tires was a pc mod. The only real new thing to PC is ground deformity. Earlier in the livestream you had listed all the new base game things. And I realized I had 95% the new features as mods in 22. Lol But the base game features are all very simplistic compared to the modded versions. Base game equipment feels like it’s at an all time low, but I’m guessing that’s due to past mods. One thing that really is a bummer as an American player is how the hitches and tires on tractors are all euro spec. So I have to wait on mods to have realistic US equipment. I love Farm Sim and I look forward to what mods can do with this version!
Hi mrsealyp I've noticed that the silage price has been needed on normal economy best price on 22 was 340 per thousand litres it is now down to 240 loving the video and the new game.
I tried 3 different contracts. Log moving cultivating and red beet harvesting. Completed all 3 contracts and now it won’t let me return the leased items or collect on the contracts. When I move the equipment over to the shop to return they don’t even register.
Don't purchase lime or fertilizer at the buy points, you pay more than double than at the store. Also if you lease equipment for one contract you can use that equipment on any job of similar type. Just don't collect your pay on the first job until you have completed all the other jobs first.
If you do a baling contract and lease a square baler if it does not stipulate round bales then do not unload at the end of the contract until you have completed and then the bales left in the baler are yours.
I’m loving the game so far!!! Has a few issues but as you said what game doesn’t 22 had alot of the same issues at the start as the worked them out it’s just crazy the amount of negatively from people!! Loving the new series Mr Sealy P !!!!
I’ve done 73 contracts on Riverbend. One of every type at least once. I’ve never had a contract fail. Not a single one. Only annoyance has been hoeing contracts not allowing AI helpers giving a “field not found” message. That’s it.
I'm not one for narratives normally but quite enjoying your approach to this one. I feel like fs25 is evidence of Newton's third law in a way but rather than actions and reactions, for every positive thing I have to say about fs25 I have an equal and opposite negative thing to say. Take that plowing for example, loving the ground deformation a lot, probably my favourite feature but it looks hideous because it doesn't follow the direction of the tractor!
I think that if combine harvesters are set to chopped straw and not straw swath, then they are giving a mulched status where the chopped straw falls on the field
I've done one harvest contracts for green beans. When I delivered the beans it only completed %20 of the contract amount and took forever for no pay out. I've only done cultivating, fertilizing and wood delivery since.
I heard they were buggy contracts, I did a harvest on F77 and the % didnt go up to 80% for cutting, but I got the 20% for delivery. Glad I'm on PC and just can edit the file and flag it as complete. Yet another harvest on a different field worked just fine. So issues are probably field based as well. For the GPS I prefer the VGA mod we had on PC, it drew the lines, but then faded them out until you got to the next line. But glad it came to console users. Can't wait for mods to make it better though.
I accepted 2 sunflower contracts - one completed properly while the other gave me 100% on delivery but only 96% harvested even though all crop was off the field and would not complete so in turn I could not collect.

I just realized something about contracts, that may have been obvious to everyone else, but I never realized it. I just always assumed every farm on the map was run by a little AI farmer who did the jobs in a normal order and hired out some of his jobs for us. Today I realized that there is a lot more random number generator and a lot less AI. I like to play with 4-day months, so my days are more like weeks than months. I have picked up a job to collect stones on field 8 three times already this month and I am only about halfway through it.
I did a stone picking contract on riverbed. Picked the stones, the contract finished once I'd picked them all up but I didn't complete until I'd sold the stones...made and extra £800 on top of contract 😊
Have played 79 hours and done 103 contracts on the asian map. All have completed OK but have 1 rock picking contract that came up 3 times in a row on same field. Only other thing that is annoying is there is 6 or 7 fields of potatoes and sugar beets that are ready to harvest but no contracts also can't work out how large veggie harvester would go with new gps harvesting patterns edging corners etc. Would you lose enough that contracts may not finish? Love your content ,we all just need patience till it all gets fixed.
Cultivators with height settings: good to know. There were a few mod cultivators in FS22 that had these settings and because of this, you could use them to shallow cultivate or plough when needed. I used them exclusively when they came out. Does anyone remember what the equipment brand was?
I wonder with the bail wrapping contracts if you can sell the bales as you wrap them. The contract should still complete after wrapping the last bail but you get the money for a wrapped bail before they vanish at completion !!!!
I dont do contracts where I need to buy consumables like Herbicide. I wish they would go back to how it was. You take a contract and use the farmers equipment including lime fert etc. Who in the real world would work for a farmer and buy stuff to put on his field LOL. SOrry dude you pay for it. I just avoid these contracts until they fix it. Still, loving FS25 so far
I did a weeding contract last night and it was stuck at 98% with no weeds left on the field. I went over it 3 times and even set the gps to offset so i overlapped what my last pathing was and still nothing.
Seems like your PS5 runs this game better then the PC 😅, and also why haven't they included all the vehicles back in class hasn't got them all in nor has JCB
Has anyone ever tried doing a mowing contract with a forage harvester with a mowing header. Thought maybe you could take the grass if you attached a trailer behind it
So far when it has come to contracts I have so far only failed one and that was with a John Deere harvester for cotton I was 2 leaders short of making two bales. Otherwise I haven't had a lot of problems with contracts I have had problems with harvesting oats the problem I was having was the combine header acting like it was hitting the ground and getting stuck like it was digging in or something .
Is the carrot harvest contract even possible to complete? There’s no container on the harvester to hold the crop, so you must drive a trailer/truck next to the harvester at all times to collect the crop. The way AI does the headlands makes that pretty much impossible with all the backing up on the corners.
I completed it. I was miserable. You have to have AI harvest and do the best you can to keep your tender next to the harvester so it will move forward. This includes when it moves through all of its turns. I feel like it would work well if playing multiplayer, but near impossible to do solo. There is one single row veggie harvester that has a hopper that is actually usable for solo harvesting. I feel like they could design the rest of the harvesters with a small virtual hopper to accommodate the AI turns.
