Ignored Reed Sheppard’s 52% 3pt just because he has a “hitch’ on his jumpshot and instead became optimistic on someone who shot 29% on low volume. What a terrible take.
These people look for every excuse to discredit Reed and how good he was at Kentucky. Then turn around and salivate at a guy who shoots sub 30 from 3, has no mid range, plays zero defense, and has multiple knee injuries on his resume. Make it make sense.

Look at the game they lost to in the march madness tournament, reed will be a better Payton Pritchard/kirk hinrich but top ten picks have a potential to draft a player who can change a team. I’m going with the prospect who has the most upside and reed is not one of them.

Topic is injury prone spurs are not dumb . Wemby needs to surrounded by shooters . Spurs struggled to close out games all year long they need offense .
Sheppard is 6ft2 without shoes, still growing, & he can dunk.

offensively I tend to agree. At college lvl he was able to shoot or drive very efficiently. But NBA players are way more athletic it might not work that well with his frame.
@@aspleen1102 Rob's skillset translates better to the pro game than any of the guards mentioned in this video. His ability to shoot and create offensively isn't going to be mitigated by slightly more athletic defenders. The NBA game actually has better spacing than college and elite shooting and playmaking are at a premium in the league. When he develops a dependable floater and learns how to get to the free throw line consistently, don't marvel if he becomes one of the better young guard in the NBA.
Just say Rob, also biggest defensive liability of the three.

So does Desmond Bane. Basketball isn't the NFL combine. While size and measurements are important factors, skill and basketball IQ are what separate players at the next level. Im not even a Topic supporter, but we need to get past measurement numbers and actually talk about the sport.

This is the way I see it ever since the new CBA came out teams are looking at the draft to build.
Unless you want to go deep in the luxury tax and the second apron with all of its penalties you're going to build on the cheap.
The Spurs are not going to make a deal to make anybody reporter or anybody on any message board happy they're going to make a deal that will strengthen the team. And this is not a perfect science.
Go Castle/Topic at 4 and someone like Salaun or Knect at 8, we need a better SF

The problem is this isn't Topics first knee injury. I would be concerned at 18 at already have 2 knee injuries to the same knee. Don't want this to be a Porzingis situation, great talent, can't stay in the games.
I say Topic at 4 but if the injury is a situation, then take Castle and at 8 they should take Salaun.

Dillingham may want to come here but it's up to the Spurs the draft him.
They are not obligated to do that.

no. he's a very good guard. this year, he'd accept not to play guard because of the team.
He is a combo guard and the shot can be improved like parker, kawhi, dejounte
@@ffjdmarco Very good NBA guards don't shoot 26% from three. There is no part of his offensive game (pass, dribble, shoot) that he does at an NBA guard level, let alone at an elite level. He didn't play guard at UCONN because playing him at guard would've HURT the team. If you're an NBA team that needs guard SKILL, he's not the guy.
