The best thing I ever did was put my Micellar water into an empty foaming cleanser bottle. So now the Micellar water comes out as foam which I use on DRY skin before cleansing. It gets ALL my makeup off, and it’s so gentle on the face!!
Well that’s a hack!! An oil cleanser already takes all my makeup off anyways, so don’t use or have any Micellar water. 😅 but still, for those using it, this is a great hack to apply to their use. You don’t rub your face with a cotton swab, you just massage it on your face and remove all your gunk, dirt, and make-up before cleansing. 🥰
The philosophy cleanser is my favorite. It’s great at getting makeup off on its own. I’d like to see this trick with something that doesn’t take makeup off like a gentle nonfoaming or creamy cleanser
I agree, I was pleasantly surprised when I started using it. It cleans really well, even with waterproof makeup and doesn't strip the skin. It was a gift, otherwise I wouldn't even have thought of trying it
I just started using philosophy and IT'S AMAZING! I also really enjoy this brand named origins, it's a bit pricey but has worked WONDERS for my hormonal breakouts
Ya she used it I think to make her hack not fail because this cleanser gently but very effectively removes every stitch of makeup, including the most stubborn, hard to remove waterproof mascara. It’s been my daily cleanser since it came out over a decade ago. It’s THAT good.

Please do a video on removing sunscreen for people with sensitive skin. I’m using the ‘Vanicream Gentle Facial Cleanser’ to remove the ‘La Roche-Posay Mineral Sunscreen’, but it’s not removing all of the sunscreen from my face. So, some of sunscreen gets left behind, and after a few days, that accumulated sunscreen clogs up my pores and leaves my skin feeling irritated. I thought about using an oil cleanser, but I don’t know which one to use, because my skin is very sensitive and prone to dryness, so I don’t want to use anything that could cause a reaction or over-strip my skin. I thought about using micellar water too, but I’m not sure which one to get, and whether it is suitable for sensitive skin. I really need to find something that works, because I can’t wear sunscreen until I find something that will properly remove the sunscreen at the end of the day (without drying out my skin), or else my pores will get clogged up.
@@shereeneidriss what’s wrong with using Kleenex instead of makeup wipes please ? I always do that (makeup wipes are expensive where I live/ I’m unemployed)

Alot of ppl are not aware of the concept of double cleansing so it’s important to know especially if you use makeup regularly. Your regular cleanser just washes off debris not makeup so you need emulsifiers to remove it well

Anything by geek and gorgeous is really good, also the body shop are not with an Israeli company now I think since 2018 so they’re okay to use too xx Edit - I use the QV one right now I’m p sure they’re okay as well
So washing ur face depends on ur make up . If you have silcone based make up best to use a cold cream , a balm or oil to remove ur make up. If you have Oil based make up with remove with micellar water . Water based makeup with soap . Read the ingredients you’ll know if what type of product you hv .
Dr Shereen - Someone said cotton pads leave residual strings (or whatever) on your face and it is better to use those korean thin sheets. Please could you comment on this?
I find the only cleanser that can take most makeup off on its own is the cerave one - but I usually use a cleansing balm before (I wear more makeup than most)
I use a little spray bottle, pour micellar water (that doesn't burn my eyes) in it and spray it on my eyelashes then I gently rub them with my fingers until I wash off the mascara, works wonders.
Sometimes if I am in a bind I use coconut oil to remove the makeup. It sounds like the worst thing to do when you have acne-prone skin because coconut oil is comedogenic. I have had crazy acne so it is the worst thing for me to do, but I use it to just wipe off the make up completely, and then I double wash with my normal face wash so I don't have any coconut oil left to clog my skin. Do not do this if your skin is really really acne-prone and coconut oil makes you break out. But it works for me and not a trace of make up is left behind. Not even eyeliner.
Question about the zinc basting - what percentage does it have to be ? What are the formulas and ingredients to look out for that may breakout someone who is combo/oily and acne prone? I can't find the "triple paste" you used in Canada - and can you do a full comparison on the la roche posay B5 balm? It's sold out in store, I'm probably going to order that online. I got the cerave healing ointment and I think it breaks me out - white heads i think?
I found itriple paste on Amazon. I have the same kind just in a tube. It's 12.4%. At night I just put it all over my face like a mask and leave it on throughout the night, not sure if I'm doing it right, leaving it on all night... But my face is so dry right now, and it has helped...also with my redness and it has not broke me out at all...
Doing this bc my mascara won't come off 😭😭 legit its too waterproof, oil proof, sweat breaking those lil specks you get under your eye. Nada. But it doesn't come off. I tried micellar water, makeuo remover, coconut oil, oil based clenser, CeraVe cleanser (works a lil but you have to keep doing it like shampoo on your lashes). Nothing worked. But this might. Thanks ❤
Not sure if its already out there but, is there's a video on how to remove buildup from cream cleansers and SPF? I have dry skin, live in a tropical climate, and DON'T use makeup but I can clearly see that my two cream base cleansers don't remove buildup from SPF and I even think the cleanser is building up 😐.
Micellar water does not get my makeup off although it’s a great product for me when doing to a double cleanse to get oil off my skin. So instead I use a cleansing balm to remove makeup and oil in one and then do my acne cleanser.
