Hey Zieley love your content, learned a lot from you since I started playing last year. Hot tip dealing with your succession: if you imprison your son first, you can force him to take the vows, then you don't have to waste renown disinheriting him. Yeah you'll take a tyranny hit, but with no vassals that doesn't matter anyways. 😁
There was a workaround the culture thing by letting your heir study under a different culture and having them switch, then once they become the ruler you can try to make a hybrid with your old culture
@@whynotsa6866 No, so we can see how to deal with the problems we go thru. If he faces the same obstacles we do, we'll know how to solve them... and it's a little funny, a bit schadenfreuden if you will. 😈
One thing to remember is that hooks aren't always just good for money, hooks give you a way to invite people to court by using the hook. Even a bad courtier can be used for a marriage, which can fix things like bad councillors.
In my 1066 "The Last Karling" run, I ended with an empire that had an army with 12K men-at-arms without ever needing to field levies. It would regularly stack wipe armies of up to 20K troops.
Learnt a great deal from this! Especially about development boosts and allies entering wars etc.. keep it up... subbed, liked and bell icon on... tks Zieley!!
Whenever you raise levies or replenishing/buying men-at-arms, change your marshall's job to the third one which helps lower the gold cost of those. That helps a tonne!
Just wanted to say that i love these videos and i would like to see them continue. For the next video can you play as the worst barony in the game to see how far you can go
@Andrew Zanardi yeah, now i realized that you can't have a worse or a better barony. I mixed it up with counties. Although i would still like to see a tall game by him or maybe a disaster save or a hard start challanges. So basically any content from this guy
24:47 i think softcap "existing development -X" dont apply if u dont do the increase development mission, which means that those +0.2 from stewardship and +0.3 from decision are even more powerful
Love your ck3 videos. Idk if it’s your voice, editing, choice of gameplay, skill, or all of it but I don’t like any other ck3 content yet I LOVE these vids. Keep it up
I paused at the beginning to say I'd call cap but given I've seen you take over the entire map and a lot of your tall play through I can't wait to see what antics you get up to in this one
Man, I kinda watched all your videos. You should keep up lmao imma watch it still even if it doesn't have any challenges. Just watching you play is fun and i'm sure i'll learn something as well.
i picked up the game recently and i really suck but at least i can win vicariously thru u. playing tall is such an awesome concept to me! i love watching the silly number tick up ;)
Great content, mate! Thank you so much. It is a lot of fun to watch. One question though: How do you defend the Barony of someone is already sieging? 🤔 Do you have a 2nd spot where you can rally spur troops? :)
@Zieley where is part 2 of Ck3 Bingo? This was such a big idea but not explored by the community like it should… Keep the good work 👍🏻 Love your videos!!
Some people really do be like, "Make a 30 minute video where you play as an actual one barony county with no special decisions or vassals", which is bruh, that's literally most of the game gone.
Worst part is... he didn't have *one* stewardship. He had *zero* stewardship, and was buffed up to one because your faith held Rome. And he still got auto-appointed Steward.
If you wish to give a crusade the best chances of success, grab some land with high supply on a shore that is some distance away from the goal. That way any armies that are defeated will retreat to it, while also allowing very easy landings for friendly troops. If the goal is Jerusalem, grab as much floodplains in Egypt as you can and work you way towards the goal.
Marrying your courtiers to get knights is a good idea. I wanted to do that and noticed my court was very empty so I started marrying all my aging knights hoping they would make strong sons and daughters
Could you do a play where homosexuality is the most common sexuality, is completely accepted by everyone and same-sex marriage is also accepted? It would be interesting to see what advantages and disadvantages it gives.
I love whipping myself. Pick up medicine and the first perk in the health tree for better physician outcomes, and you'll have a Dr. Ben Carson in no time. You'll never be wounded, and you don't even need whole of body or anything like that. Might not even need medicine focus after you built up a good doctor.
It's false. There are a couple calculators out there which allow you to calculate chances for every education trait given some parameters. Matching childhood trait is a quite powerful boost, though.
nice playthrough, i've also been trying to do the whole one island / one kingdom thing, i like it because i hate cheesing succession through murdering etc, im like the king surely i can do what i like instead of waiting an arbitory 150 years to change the law!! i did have a good game with the kingdom of sardina e corsica, but then i started to take italy to get an empire, and all the vassels started fighting each other and ruining the empire i created, and i was like... FS this game is so stupid sometimes. on that note whats a good one county island to play so i dont have to concern myself with succession and also just defend my island and build a massive unstoppable army from?
Back when I used to play Total War Rome II, I would use that very island as a place to put as the capital of my empire. I found it to be a good idea as the entire Mediterranean sea was like a massive natural moat. I then had a good sized nave to defend the island while I safely sent my armies to conquer all over without worry that other nations would take my capital.
You know what would be funny? Continuing this series by conquering ONLY the capitals of each major nation. Tiny island with just a ton of tiny one city territories spread throughout the world.

Basically roleplaying historical Venice
This would be hilarious. Zieley pls!!
YES
capture the highest development counties one by one. by time you reach 10 you are a powerhouse.
Imagine historians trying to explain how one island in the middle of the Mediterranean got under the control of a family of madmen who built it into a sprawling metropolis, took Constantinople, and then just sorta stopped.
You just wrote the pitch for a new arc in my d&d campaign! Thanks for that dude :D
That was basically Italy/Rome, except they were beaten back before they stopped
This is basically the equivalent of Venice sacking Constantinople during the 4th crusade, so not that far of from reality.

“Fun” fact: Minorca basically means “the little itty bitty teeny tiny one” in pre-Catalán Latin
That army at the end was insane, imagine a bigger army with the same proportion of levies to men at arms
