I've seen pit bases that work (granted, this was years ago), but I don't think Neebs is smart enough to make it work, and they usually take more than 7 days to make, and have a very high material cost. 1. they have to be very deep 2. I don't think you can spike the outer rim because that will deter the zombies from falling in and cause them to dig around. 3. You need a strong central bunker that's surrounded by spikes 4. The rim of the pit needs to be very wide, so the zombies aren't landing on your head.

I like the fight pit idea. I’ve wondered why you make horde bases at all when you could just sit in a parking lot, die a bunch and have essentially no repercussions.
You can craft the stuff in the forge back to raw materials. If you're moving, just throw a bunch of wood in and get it crafting. If you remember about it later it will be like a treasure trove of raw materials.
Anyone else ever watch Simon and sometimes tell the screen what to do hahaha. That being said it's great seeing Simon today, he's come so so so far from the incompetent gamer he was. He's blossomed into a real fully legit gamer. Never asking for much is asking for anything anymore. And I think the last horde base built by the man himself was a resounding success ❤🎉
I saw a hilarious zombie proof wall (by JaWoodle) made of the "ramp 6m 02" block (looks like a concrete wedge barricade) placed back to back. Apparently the zoms won't attempt to jump over them if they have any other option like a path through blade traps or electric fences. Meanwhile you can just melee/shoot right over the barrier. And Neebs, JaWoodle also has a giant pit horde base - frankly, it's impressive.
