id say black caiman would be just as, if not more destructive to the everglades, as theyd compete with native alligators (black caiman are the largest alligatoroids) without performing the absolutely necessary duty of creating alligator holes.
there are also two very large snakes in south america, arguably the largest of their respective clades: the green anaconda (well known) and the bushmaster (biggest viper alive) though the latter would likely be less destructive.
SA's ants, however, have proven themselves. the argentine is already the most populous species of ant, and fire ants have spread quite well, though it is perhaps the army ant which will prove most devastating should it escape.

There are so few wild animals left everywhere and every back porch in Florida has at least 4 shotguns leaning against the walls. The locals would be more than excited to turn any animal that strays into their backyard that isn't supposed to be there into a stuffed statue, or any animal that is for that matter. Wouldn't worry about it.

    Piranhas could be worse
When it come to jaguars, the map about the current range is at least outdated
Brazilian laws require farmers to keep from 20% to 80% of their private lands covered with native vegetation
This mosaic of crop fields intertwined with jungles or cerrados proved to be an habitat to jaguars just as effective as the original vegetation, and now they already returned to many places where was once extinct
There are numerous videos of jaguars and pumas preying on crop fields of soy, corn and others
By the way, they are very territorial, what keep them to overpopulate
If you want to see how is living with jaguars and pumas, just search for "onca em casa" (jaguar at home) on TH-cam

Every time the Florida Everglades get brought up, i can't help but think of how much people have altered & messed up how the Everglades functions. It used to have such a well functioning system that naturally allowed water & nutrients to flow through the Everglades and out. Creating a very beneficial ecological transfer system. With biodiversity & abilities to heal & balance itself out just based on the way it's adapted over time. Then people started wanting to develop there in the past and started doing all sorts of alterations to the natural habitat so it better suited building & diverted water to urban areas.. a lot like how the Colorado river basin has been completely altered to divert to urban areas... I wish we could see how important Wetland habitats are. As well as natural flowing water systems... The more our environment flourishes the more we can flourish as well. It doesn't work if we only care about ourselves... We can't just have a world of only humans?? Unless people are okay with turning into the Donner party??

I think the south American Homosapien would do well in Florida too, especialy the ones from tropical, and sub-tropical regions.... one of my favorite Yutubers is Brazilian and he lives in Florida, so that proves it :P
ps: joke, I am a middle eastern Homosapien, so I have no racial/culture/ethnic wars with any of the groups I mentioned.

Bobcats are doing better in Florida than are Florida panthers, because the panthers are bigger. This shows that Florida does not have enough wild space left to provide sufficient habitat for Jaguars, which are even bigger than panthers.

Your fish would eat shit against our Bull Sharks that can swim in both Salt & Fresh Water not to mention again any huge problem equals Dynamite fishing being used again not to mention alot of Americans use Bows and nets for fishing and we also use firearms for fishing when needed so that South America fish wouldn't survive in North America.

I called this video b******t because some of these animals are actually native to Florida like Jaguars but died out there at the end of the Pleistocene.

it might be interesting to introduce a small, sterilized population of jaguars into the everglades as "pest control". the boa constrictors would be most likely be chosen due to it being easier to kill a snake than an alligator. american alligators are also significantly larger than caiman which could further push the preference of non-native species.

Jag and Giant Otter have no pretadot except Jaguar can kill otter if he cought it alone but they never are. Both species hunt everything including giant green anaconda that weighs over 300 pounds and is longer than 6.5 meters

If the Jaguar is introduced to the Eastern US (apart from Florida) they might fill the hole left by the eastern cougars

there are photos of Jaguars in the US taken in the late 19 Century as far north and east as Kanas where they were shot by famers. One such photo shows a Jaguar laying in a famer's field and the famer sat his little girl on the back of the dead cat's body and still came up to the waist of the famer.

why do you care about invasive species, just dump more invasive species into them and let the animal game park continue every new introduced invasive species would only continue the park

Jaguars are technically a native species. On account of Florida being part of their Pleistocene range.

Green anacondas have been found in the wild in Florida. Luckily, they don't seem to thrive here. But, it could be that there would be better habitats in a different part of Florida, for them to get a better start. But, hopefully they just wouldn't do well here.
