  • Welcome back to Dezavi Productions. In this weeks video, I'll be showing you a quick and easy way to Chop N Screw your music. Chop N Screw originated from Houston, Texas by a legend known as DJ Screw. "Screwing" is when the track is slowed down and "chopping" is when particular parts of the track are repeated. The traditional authentic method of chopping and screwing tracks involves the use of turntables. No digital way could replicate its unique sound but we can get close to it if we take our time and use the digital tools available. What is your favorite chopped and screwed track by DJ Screw? Let me know in the comments! Subscribe!

Hi Envisage Films Houston. For this tutorial, I’m emphasizing the use of the Time Compression Expansion tool more than the chop itself. Thank you for the constructive criticism, I’ll make sure to be more detailed and particular in future videos. I’m sorry this video did not meet your expectations.

yes, adding a chop after throws off the entire song., and the easier way is to jsut make two tracks, move one a beat ahead then just use the mute automation for the track, at least in cubase. that way it mimics using a fader. you jsut unmute the ahead one and mute the main track then juggle it as many times as you want. there are crossfader vst too where you can send two tracks and then juggle them, jsut set one ahead. you can hear one i made fucking around if you want, this was also pitch shifted too not jsut slowed tho. 25% each. normally you can jsut slow it 40%. its your style choice though if you want to experiment with pitch shifting and speed shifting. I do those in audacity because its easier then chop in cubase th-cam.com/video/uffS7JXlShA/w-d-xo.html

You have no clue. You're gonna lose parts of the song when chopping. For example "face facts" would be "facts facts" then the song would continue
