Hello! Tell me how to make the time countdown on the screen always start from zero on the camera, without going into the menu every time and without resetting the counter. Now each video is simply added to the total time, but I need to shoot short videos often and quickly, without noting the start time of each one.
I got the sony zv 1 camera the other year its useless for walking around.. people recommended it on TH-cam...i can't believe TH-camre would lie for paid promotion...i need to get another camera...the Sony zv 1 the stabiliser on it doesn't do anything..i also took the camera to a camera shop and they said it wasn't good for walking around..so i don't want to make any more expensive mistakes.. what camera would you recommend for vlogging...
Shallow depth of field is not great on these cameras having only a 1/2.3-inch sensor. You can achieve it but you need a lot of distance between the camera, the subject and the background. The XA70 is better at this having the 1" sensor but no camcorder is going to match the SDoF you can get with a full frame Mirrorless camera with a fast lens like a F2.8 or faster. If this is important to you don't get this camera.
I have the XA20 and XA50 (looking at an XA60 to replace the 20 as it doesn't shoot 4K and it's starting to make strange noises when it starts up) anyway both cameras (20+50) support both green and black and white infrared recording - just make sure you turn the IR lamp on in the settings as this doesn't automatically come on when you switch to IR mode for some reason.
Are you able to record when the camera is plugged into power? If I have an all day recording session where I can supply power through an external battery (much larger than the canon battery), am I able to record like that?
You can use the DJI or Rode with these cameras BUT you will need to get a longer 3.5-3.5mm cable as the one supplied with the DJI Mic is designed for mirrorless cameras and won't reach the jack on the XAs if the receiver is mounted in the cold shoe. The great thing with this camera (and any XA camera from the 40 upwards) is that you can use the 4 track audio to record two mics as a back up and have a safety track for each mic set to -6db lower. For example I use an XLR shot gun mic either on a boom pole or on camera to record to T1+2 and my DJI mic in the 3.5 input to record to T3+4 and then I can choose which mic sounds best for each location and talent.

The XA75 has a bigger sensor and dual pixel autofocus, it’s a little bit better quality picture, but I cant justify the price difference.

Yes you can record with the XA cameras with no limits until your cards are full using the power unit supplied.

Should work over the USB C cable however I find it best to use an SD card reader (my computer has one built in but you can by USB adapters).
