Starting to paint again after almost a year off. This will be a first project on a small coffee table I have. Thanks for all the training you do. You really make it seem so simple!
Another great video !! Love the gray dry brushing and how the diluted Sandbar really toned the entire top down. Can't wait to get my next project started so I can try this look. Thanks for your time !!
Hi there Michelle! You can apply a wash of Fluff! Doing this will tone down the colors, but not the placements of the colors! I hope this helps and happy painting.
Hey there! For Silk All-In-One Mineral Paint we recommend using a dry synthetic brush, our Scarlet Brush is a huge favorite to use with Silk. In this video Amy is using Chalk Mineral Paint with a chip brush, I hope this helps!
I have a table that I bought used and we braced it so it’s solid and not wobbly, but after using it for a week or so and cleaning it off after meals, the top is very sticky! Like it’s the finish but what I cleaned it with if that makes sense. Anyway, I want to paint it so should I use stripping gel or would this BOSS stuff go on and seal it so I can paint over it? Thanks
Hi Belinda! BOSS is used to block odors, stains and stop bleed through. Slick Stick is a product that is used for slick or slippery surfaces. If your project is sticky we recommend cleaning well with White Lightning. Hope this helps and happy painting.
Thank you for patience Shelley. Gator Hide is available in our website right now: dixiebellepaint.com/gator-hide/ Don't hesitate to purchase it, it's one of our top sellers.
Excellent question! BOSS is a great problem-solver. It blocks odors, stains and stops bleed thru on your pieces. You should definitely give it a try on your next piece!

Isn't it stunning!
If I want to tone down the dry brushing but keep my fluff color could I go over everything with a wash of fluff?

Very nice 🤗❤
Thanks so much Barbara!
Can you use Gatorhide on the outside of decoupage terracotta pots?
Yes, you can use Gator Hide on the outside of a decoupaged Terracotta pot.
@@DixieBellePaint Thank You! I will try it out to get a more firm and smooth finish and protection!
I thought I heard you were suppose to use a dry acrylic brush with silk all in one? just need to clarify. Thanks!

What is the BOSS? A PRIMER?

Could you just use boss on the top if table? Like if you just waxed the bottom instead of a Polly or gator?
Thank you Amy, for explaining this process with such clarity!! I'm new to painting furniture and your videos are so informative!! All of them!!😊
Hi Dianne. Thanks so much for the love. We are thrilled to hear you found the tutorial helpful.
