Well, it sure looks like if you're an Alco-holic the Saratoga, Corinth & Hudson's the place to be!
An interesting video for sure, a cab ride and a chase. Or was it a chase and a cab ride? It was cool at any rate and I could almost smell the diesel smoke!
And how about the air whistle on that switcher? Not something you hear every day!
A real action-packed 29 minutes, well done Harrison and thanks for bringing us along!

Got to come out and visit again ; took the Leviathan from Corinth few years back. Nice to see that the line is being at least partially used again. Nice video Harrison, you were in the RS-3 cab ? Lucky.

I wish they would do a ride all the way to the end at the old NL Mine
A surf and turf would be awesome
Filet mignon and lobster
A seafood all day train from Saratoga springs to NL Mine back to Saratoga springs
Start out with little neck clams as appetizers
Then have steamed crab legs
Then 3 pound lobsters
And finish off the day with a 3 hour boiled whole chickens with little potatoes and boiled fresh corn on the cob.
And a selection of local beers and wines from all over NY State
You could make a lot of money
You could even do a clam steam at one of the station stops where they have campsites
You could ride 3 hours north, have the clam steam ready,
3 dozen little necks
A whole chicken
2 white potatoes
2 sweet potatoes
3 corn
3 sausage links
And ala carte lobster and crab legs clusters
