I wanted to say that you ROCK! I’m a former metro-Philadelphia resident (I’m in Wisconsin now) and the two malls that I always frequented during my childhood until my early-thirties was the Gallery at Market East and Echelon (no, I’m not calling them by their new names!). I always try to stay informed of both malls as I’ve had both good and bad experiences with them - especially with Echelon. Thank you for the upload.

Nice job on this video! I love the calm music playing as you walk through this depressing place. I’m glad somebody finally filmed the inside of that Boscov’s, too.

Thanks so much Peter! That's exactly what I was going for, picking out the calm and grandeur of this once great place.

I took some time to look at the earlier video for this mall. It’s quite amazing how different the place looks from day to night. Much more inviting at night. This property has been in free fall for close to twenty years. As many different rescue plans too. It’s a real shame as the mall is actually quite nice. It however, is not going to make it now. Redevelopment, if actually real will transform the property into a new life. I hope it transitions successfully otherwise, it will relive its life as a wharehouse, after complete demolition. I do however, think this property will live on in some form or another.

This is tucked in in the middle of residential though i hardly doubt voorhees will let warehousing come here its not in a very accessible area. Will probably become more housing first

There doesn't seem to be any need for this mall anymore aside for maybe Boscov's. There's already cherry hill, deptford, and moorestown nearby, not to mention shopping centers at Philadelphia

The mall is dead. Redevelopment plans are in the works to turn it over into a lifestyle center.

There is a third party developer named Brandywine who are in talks to buy the property back from Namdar. Apparently this is a deal that was set up by the township, who threatened eminent domain if Namdar wouldn't sell.

Wish there was more pictures or even video of the cooler part of the mall that they knocked down over a decade ago. It was almost all skylight and had really high ceilings

xx26killers26xx I know! I moved into the area in September 1999 and I only walked into the Macy’s-JCPenney’s corridor ONCE, and then left. The reason I did that is because it was so empty but so beautiful that (this will sound so stupid) I felt that I wasn’t supposed to be there! That wing was so dead that I swear that I thought I was trespassing. I can never forget how well-lit that wing was and clean and shiny everything looked, but since then I only stayed in the area between the food court (MAN...the food court today...Chik-fil-A, Sbarro, Auntie Anne’s, Chinese food, Subway, the cookie counter under the escalator...GONE) and Boscov’s. I’m amazed that Boscov’s is STILL there.
