    I bought the Kawasaki 800 classic Blue Collar Bobber kit and every time I ride it, I get thumbs up and people yelling they love my bobber. The seat is very very comfortable. It's addicting to build, you build one then you want to build another one. I have a 2020 Triumph Rocket 3R, (the new style state of the art bike) and I get more compliments on my Blue Collar bobber Kawasaki.

    Hi from blue collar bobbers. I'm a big guy myself at 240lbs. We have the seat springs custom made for us and they are quite stiff. We did this knowing that there are a lot of us larger guys out there. We can guarantee that the springs will work out for you. It would be a shame to see you bob your bike and not be happy with it. Our policy is to be totally honest with our customers. Hope this helps and thanks so much, Lance and Cheryl at BCB

    I’m in Australia , I bought the blue collar bobber kit for my Vulcan 900 , just the seat and rear fender setup … IT LOOKS AWESOME … And most importantly it’s comfortable to ride could do a few hundred kms at a time no worries

    Thanks so much for the nice words! The stock rear fender sticks up too high and forward to allow a nice install with the spring seat. The stock seat wouldn't look good with bobber fenders either.

  • @BlueCollarBobbers
    @BlueCollarBobbers  12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi, Sorry but our kits are designed to fit the stock 180 tire. The tire looks much wider once you remove that big old stock rear fender. Thanks, Lance

    Hi, sorry but our kits are bike specific. In time we hope to get a chance to design kits for the 1500. Thanks so much, Lance at BCB

  • @BlueCollarBobbers

    Our seat is as low as it can be without the rear fender hitting it when the suspension is bottomed. The only way it could be lower is to hard tail the bike. In our opinion that would be a terrible thing to do to a really awesome bike like the 900. Thanks, Lance at BCB

    Hi, for some strange reason the sporty kits didn't sell very well. It's funny because we sell the metric kits like crazy!! If you look in our other products section you will see our 5 3/8" fender. That's the fender we used on our sportsters. I think it should fit a 150 tire?? I don't remember if the years of the bikes we were doing ran 140 or 150 tires. Hope this helps and thanks so much, Lance and Cheryl at BCB

    Hi, Our rear fender won't support a passenger. The fender goes up and down with the suspension. The weight of a passenger would put too much strain on the rear struts and the poor rider would get pretty beat up. Thanks so much, Lance at BCB

    Ill be getting my first bike soon and the vn900 is my choice. Il will be ordering both fenders for my ride. Just a question : can i keep the stock seat after installing the rear fender? or do I have to then install a spring seat?
    Thanks, again great job you guys!

    if I kept the stock suspension and drilled some holes into the rear fender for the stock seat w/pillion, would that work?

  • @xv1k375
    @xv1k375 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey, I was just wondering if there has been any changes to the frame? I noticed you said there had been no changes to the gastank, rims or suspensions.
    The reason for me asking is that I would very much like to buy a Kawasaki VN and get this kit, I am however not fermiliar with welding or anything like that. Does this kit require any alteration that would include welding or sawing away parts from the original bike?
    Thank you so much in advance, this has got to be one of the nicest bobbers I've ever seen!

    • @antoinevarin6748
      @antoinevarin6748 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      No welding or change to the frame besides the stock fender sub frame/support bars that needs to be cut off. The DVD tells you exactly where to cut so its fairly easy even with minimal skills. The kit is worth it, just put mine 2 weeks ago on 2006 VN900

    Hey Lance, I really love the work you guys do. Mind if I ask you why you stopped producing for Sportsters? I know you guys like to produce parts exclusively for one model to prevent fitment issues, but I have to ask; do you have any aluminum rear fenders that will fit a 150 tire with a 16" diameter? I can make the mounting hardware, but don't want to invest in an english wheel ;).

      Hi, the front tire on our 900 is a 5.00-16 Avon Speedmaster.
      It fits the stock rim perfectly. Our fender also has mounting holes to fit the
      larger tire. Coker Tire Company also sells several 5.00-16 tires, as well as
      Shinko. Be sure to get a new rim strip and tube when ordering new tires.

      If you really want to accommodate a passenger, I've seen people custom fabricate removable seat systems. Just bolt on when you want a passenger and then remove it when you want your bobber nice and tidy.
