I have a working goes-16 setup in Toronto. 11th Floor at King and Sherbourne shooting off a west facing Balcony….In had to double up on the LNAs, wrap the equipment boxes in wire mesh, and add some chicken wire to the back of the dish, but got Vit Average of between 400-550…but few drops.
Hey that's so cool! My balcony has been blocked for the last 4 months for repairs, so I am itching to get my dish out again. I am going to make a more permanent easily detachable mount! Did you use the NooElec kit?
Vraiment, merci so mutch Jeremy, the antenna could be a challenge to install on the sailboat , so many questions answered ..the light in the tunnel getting brighter 😃
Hopefully when I get it setup, I can play with the system gain and get the antenna down to something with a wide beam width to accommodate reasonable boat movement and that can be clamped to a stanchion and setup with a compass/clinometer. On va voir!
