How do I clean my didgeridoo? A very common question, here Sanshi demonstrates his didgeridoo cleaning technique. For anything didgeridoo visit us online at www.didgeridoob...
at the moment im using a peppermint and lemon scented eucalyptus didge cleaner i bought in a spray bottle! it works really well and smells great....but im going to give this a go as well. i love the smell of eucalyptus! thanks sanshi
@@kevinmagee8955 water could cause the crack when quickly drying, so we recommend oil, oil will soak into the wood and make it waterproof, also eucalyptus oil is antiseptic etc. Orange oil also food safe!
First, check there are no cracks holes etc, if so repair it first. If the inside is not coated then I would run the orange oil all around inside to re-hydrate and it will protect from moisture from breath. But if the didge's outside has decorated with ocher paint, it can absorb the oil so be careful!
@@DidgeridooBreathAustralia fantastic, thank you for getting back to me! It looks like the inside was coated with wax pretty well, it's been about 20 years but I'm guessing it will be okay. Thanks again!
My didge has white things inside it and Im really worried, I think it even covers the interior (my didge is 150cm). So a toothbrush isnt enough, I need help!
I came home from a vacation to find my house had flooded, and my didgeridoos have mold on them. What's a good way to get that off, and return them to their rightful state, without ruining the paint job?
Tea tree oil also fine! Nothing better than the clean didge!
Thank Sanshi, this video is still very useful 10 years later! 😀
Thanks!! Let's make 100!!!

Hi, do you have Orange oil? You can get it from Guitar shop sometime, and they are also good cleaning oil, smells great too!
Can you use just water and a toothbrush, No Eucalyptus oil added?

Amm...im from Serbia and in our country there is no eucalyptus oil, so what can i use?
Thanks! getting hot for summer down under!
Will the eucalyptus/orange oil from a pharmacy be of any help? I can't seem to find any of it in my area apart from the pharmacies
Go for orange oil, Eucalyptus can be strong scent!
I could really use some help restoring an old didge that I want to play. I'm afraid it will crack from being dried out.

+nuno francisco Try sand it off with sand paper? Or wire brush!
Do you ever clean the rest of it?
I just bough a bamboo didgeridoo, I upgraded from a pvc home made one 😂. Do you have to put a wax mouth piece in the bamboo didgeridoo?
MrRockfish01 beeswax mouthpiece for narrowing the mouthpiece down to playable size. If you need some we got some!

Mold killed by Clove oil!
would water be fine to clean the digeridoo with, im broke :')
purpose of eucalyptus oil is disinfecting and harmonising bad smell. Maybe Vodka???
Can I use the same toothbrush to clean my teeth? hehe
can i use dettol?
What key is that didgeridoo?
The oil says poison on the bottle.
I'm glad I'm not the only person who noticed that
Is rinsing the Didgeridoo with Soap and Water good enough to clean it? Thanks.
Hi, it depend from the didgeridoo. If it is coated inside, yes it is ok to wash with water and soap.
Do you think just plain mineral oil would work?
Possibly, eucalyptus oil kills bacterias! Orange oil or citrus is food safe and good smell, but avoid engine oils Hehehe
