You should be able to get similar results, just use some nice amp sims. I use a DI box before going into the 2i2, which helps against clipping with the first generation.

I have this exact same Ibanez! My first proper guitar. Had it since I was 15 and haven't felt the need to swap her out for another since.
I unfortunately sold this guitar, I quite regret it. But I've got another explorer type nowadays to fill that hole in my heart 😁

I y used Grindmachine VSt by Audio assault, maybe some EQ'ing afterwards, I do not remember exactly.
