Hi, I am from Bangladesh. My mother used all surgery items from Pakistan, Sialkot. She said that it's is the best of Indians and Chinese one. it also the best all over the world.
In 2011, my colleague who belongs to Sialkot-Pakistan gifted me a pair of scissors that he brought abroad as samples to sell. I considered it an extra item and very un-professionally used it and even cut electrical wires. But, believe me, even after 10 years of use, the pair of scissors is in very good condition and without any wear and tear marks. There are no signs of rust and it's shining as steel.
We know this happening for the last 30 years or more. Being a Surgeon I am sure and can confidently say, Pakistani instruments are the best. Unfortunately there are many factors which makes " Made in Pakistan" a sort of hurdle in selling these instruments even to our Muslim brothers in Arab World. There is always negative propaganda against our country and to some extent blame goes to the manufacturer of these instruments. The Germans will never buy substandard instruments and will reject it . Hence manufacturer of these instruments take utmost care in manufacturing. That means quality control and maintaining standard. If we improve that and promote our products, I don't see any reason for not selling our instruments labelled as "Made in Pakistan".

They cannot put made in Pakistan label because they are contract manufacturers. They are doing manufacturing for other companies and have to put those labels which the customer will ask. Because it is such a popular item that every body knows where its made.

When technology is from Europe, than label should not be 'Made in Pakistan', technology matters. It is easy to forge and grind but what matters is the metallurgical make up and dimensions of the instruments. Those are from Europe and they deserve credit for it. Significant money id spent by Europe in R&D and they deserve credit.
iPhone is an American technology but when it is manufactured in China the label says Made in China , All the revenue goes to American pocket which is a credit in itself but those who manufacture it has a traditional way of putting a Made in Label,
