I think sometimes we as fishermen seem to over think situations on the water. Simple will always be the best path to catching fish
I also would like to say, since finding your channel I have learned, or have developed a better understanding of what I have read and studied about crappie fishing. Keep it coming, you have been a blessing as well. My Mom always told me "You have horse sence". I can see you have some of that too. Don't be a strainger. What I was asking which video was it on.
I might showed what I was using, but I haven't shown how to make one. There's alot of different videos on making a PVC livescope pole, just watch a few and create one that fits the way you want to fish 👍 I appreciate your comments and support. Thanks brother, the big blacks hardly ever get into big schools here cause there's no other predator fish big enough to make them stay together for safety. You might see a group of 4 to 7 sometimes during the spawn. But when they start to pull out back into deep water around the brush and slopes they will stack up by the hundreds👍
Hello! I am new to NC and live 10 minutes from Falls Lake…not far from the Creedmor Hwy 50 bridge. I’ve been going fishing every weekend almost lately…trying to be actively ready for the spring crappie. One thing I remember you saying is to find clear water. But Falls Lake always seems muddy or heavily stained. I fish from the bank, so I don’t have the advantage of a boat. I’m getting a kayak soon, but it’ll be later this year.
Im sure you will find them crappie sooner than later going through the bridges. Personally I don't like falls lake for crappie "sizes aren't consistent ".. but the bass and catfish are plentiful out there. We have a crappie tournament out there in a few weeks, you should come to the weigh-in to see what size crappie falls lake has to offer , thanks for commenting 😎✌

I really appreciate all that do in your efforts to teach fishing, spread the Living Word to others, and always faithfully set aside the time and effort to document and share it all with the rest of us. As for your playful impatience with your viewership's participation: Proverbs 27:17 proclaims: “Just like iron sharpens iron, so it is that one man sharpens another man”. This simple statement from the Word has for a long time been a calling for me to understand that no one is alone. You (my brother) have risen to the challenge to make yourself better, learning through God and His creation that there is a mutual benefit to making others better too -- through mentorship, follower-ship, and leadership, although many others simply (through their own choice) have not -- and sadly probably will not no matter what. If you did a detailed discussion about the rod and reel with out mention the company name and send a clip to each company you interested in being sponsored by then each one would send you merchandise for video. But saying a name could limit you to that company because it is a competitive business but sometimes manufacturers have multiple brands under the same umbrella just different price point and level of quality. Amen brother your spiritual message is top notch although this is a fishing video it shows you put God first you know what is right and will be rewarded for the good you do. How are you casting a 1/16 oz jig on a bait caster?
Why are you using a bait caster instead of you usual spinning rods?

I'm a bass angler before I'm a crappie fisherman. I've grown up using bait cast reels all of my fishing life. My bait cast reels are made to throw 1/8 down to 1/64. Bait cast reels are way more expensive because of the technology that goes into building them. Also I can throw further and cast way more accurate which is a plus when livescoping. I have a lot of bait casters but I usually fish for crappie with a spinning reel. The reason for that is because for me it’s difficult to cast light jigs with a bait caster but you seem to do it with ease. Is braid line the trick???

Just Google Dobyns ultra finesse 7' Rod and a shimano curado BFS and ya all set to hook into those crappies that's my set up with 4 pound vision line 😀 💪🤙🤙 be putting a whooping into then lol

I appreciate your comments and support for what I'm doing brother. I am able to see the jig out that far. But it's can be difficult if my aim is off. You have about a 14 inch window to throw into at that distance. Here a livescope tip: make sure that your livescope transducer is no deeper than 6 to 8 inches underneath the surface to see your jig splash when it hits the water

I was throwing a 1/16.... I only use 1/32 and 1/16 when I'm crappie fishing. It keeps my fall rate accurate. 👍
