Thank you dude! Yea I started with the cosplay world and used nerf blasters for props as most cons wouldn’t allow Airsoft props. Now I play nerf rather than airsoft and while I love playing I still love doing cosplay so i try to mix the 2 together and make functional cosplay blasters. Tho sometimes it backfires as certain conventions won’t allow props with any moving parts lol
Takes a lot of time and patience! I have been working with foam for Probally 10 years now. I started with cardboard which is much harder to cut. My biggest recommendation is a sharp blade, a ruler, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes. You gotta suck at something to get better. Rock bottom is a very solid foundation. I build something new pretty much every week, I just don’t do videos for everything, but I’m constantly practicing. I still mess up a lot, but I learn from the things I mess up(most of the time. I still forget to flip pieces and end up building the same thing twice instead of making mirrored parts) I would recommend checking out evil Ted and SKS props on TH-cam. They have a lot of great tutorials. I also plan to start a beginner cosplay series of videos for foam work so keep an eye out for that!
Laser weaponry is some of my favorite in the entire Fallout series so this frickin dope to me what`s even better is that it`s a functional nerf blaster :edit small addition
Wow brother! Fantastic video. You seem to have managed to combine Bob Ross and Nick Offerman into your commentary. It's become my Sunday Zen moment. Unbelievable what you've done with a Takedown and some foam, pvc. hot glue and paint. I keep saying this but it may be your finest piece yet. Loved seeing the little man in the background making sure you were keeping on track. Can't say how much I love your work and thank you for sharing this with all of us. Doc
Thank you brother! I’m really proud of the editing on this one. I had wanted to put it out last week but I really wanted to take my time and perfect it. Yea Atlas is my little building buddy!
You should have made the vid a bit longer to explain things more. I dont know why there are people that like shorter vids. Btw this build is beautiful. You made a work of art keep up with the good work. +1 subscriber
Thank you! I’m actually planning to start a series of longer 30 minute to an hour videos that are tutorials and less episodes of “how it’s made”. Thank you for subscribing!
Just wanna say, I think this length (~30 minutes) is perfect. Enough time to give brief explanations of what you're doing and not so long as to kill pacing. I think people may benefit from you doing brass-tacks basic tutorials on working with foam and other materials, especially to keep build vids like this on topic. This was a great build! I have to say, you could easily get a job as a prop maker for theater productions or maybe even movies, you seem to have quite the talent for making cool things!
Thank you dude! That’s a great idea to do a cosplay tutorial video for the brass tacks! Keep an eye out I will definitely be making that and crediting you for the idea. I would love to get into the special fx industry! I’m starting small now making the stuff I do mostly for cosplay but I wanna move into doing low budget b movie type films someday. I wanna be able to write the story, and make the props so it stays true to my vision.
This is just absolutely awesome and 100% needed in the hobby, bringing the fun and in depth guides back to an FPS obsessive community.

I swear every time I think "oh yeah that looks great, he's done now" you pull another trick out of your hat and make it look even better!
Thank you very much!
Absolutely beautiful! Been playing FNV for the past couple weeks and this is my go to weapon!
Thank you sir! I been doing the same that’s what inspired me to make it!
Okay but how do you make foam work look so easy? It seems SO intimidating

cool video. Nice use of the thin foam to cover the seam lines.
P.S. like the jacket in the beginning too.
Thank you! Yea that jacket is one of my favorites!
I was just replaying the Fallout New Vegas Today Cool Build
