Haven’t reread it yet myself because I want to first finish all the books currently out in the universe and finish a few more fantasy series first before I come back to it and devote my full attention to get as much as I can from it.
Why should you read Malazan: I'm not recommending this series to everyone. Only those who read in order to learn something, to learn about people and why they act/react the way they do and why you yourself do and say axactly as you do. It's for those who like to chew on things both in length of books and themes covered. The value of rereading * was it worth it & why: I totally think rereading is worth it. once you know the ending, you go through the books at a much slower pace, which helps you pick up more. Not just because you recognize things and characters from later, but because you have the luxury of taking your time with it as you already know how it ends. What are the things that stayed with you most from books you read? Are you an emotional reader (emersive) or do you look at charachters from afar, rationally deducing what the best course of action would be?

I like the aspect of rereading where you write you write, we can read in our own pace/take time. Thats very true. And the questions you have in the end are important. What type of reader are you.
