Remeshing in Abaqus

Sometimes the mesh we apply to the model is not properly distributed and this results in error distribution to be un-uniform thorough the model. In such a case we can have the Abaqus to “remesh” the model to achieve the best error distribution. In this example we will learn how to do this.

Can we do the adaptive meshing in ABAQUS/Standard (static-general ) step or it should be EXPLICIT?

I think you can apply adaptive meshing in both.

Adaptive remeshing is available only for Abaqus/Standard analyses
