Unfortunately there are many Americans who have nothing but hate for Ukraine - they blame my ancestral home for the inflation (higher food prices, Ok but you can still have food and clean water, my brothers and sisters have none). higher gas prices (but you can get in your car and drive, where can my Ukrainian brothers and sisters drive to?), while you and your children sleep safely others fear being taken out and executed or deported deep into Russia's Siberia never to be seen again. So when you see a fellow American popping off against Ukrainians tell him this is not what America is all about. Same here, makes me think of my grandfather, he lost 5 brothers in WW1, he served as a battlefield medic and survived but I don’t think he ever got over feeling guilty that he had. He missed them terribly until the day he died.

I grew up when my country (Australia) was fighting in Vietnam - the daughter and grand-daughter of former soldiers.
