Remember, your tax dollars are more likely to coke up a government executive's nose, than it is to fix that super obvious and destructive pothole that's been there for years that can be patched in a few minutes.
Thanks so much for playing my game! I'm working on lots of new levels and features that will be released soon! Update: Hey guys, I'm extremely thankful to Vinny and everyone else who has shared my game. I've seen an okay amount of sales so far. But I'm struggling with how to promote it further. I'm learning marketing from scratch so I don't really know where else to promote the game. If any of you would like to recommend the game to other streamers you like, or tell your friends about it, it would be tremendously helpful to me. Just trying to figure out how to get some attention on it. Thanks.
The fact you can get killed by the car in first person is really unexpected and funny. It even has a grunt sound. This dev truly knows how to make simple games fun and memorable
There's something just inherently charming about games like this that give you pretty much free reign to do whatever it takes to achieve seemingly simple goals. That on top of the incredibly jarring juxtaposition of the incredibly dry text-to-speech voice and the script loaded with Gen Z slang. It's like how Ludwig Wittgenstein would casually slip in phrases like "hot ziggety" and "let us case the joint" in everyday conversation.
Thank you! I put a lot of effort into allowing as much player freedom as possible while still having a challenging game. It's a lot of fun letting people play how they like.
i love vinnys problem solving process 1 identify problem 2 identify origin of problem 3 travel in opposite direction 4 attempt solution passed the point of the issue 5 wonder why the solution had no effect on the problem repeat
genuinely love the way this game looks, like I know it's supposed to look ugly and low effort, but there's an odd harmony and realism to the levels even in their wackiness that pleases me deeply
It has a clever but simple premise, and equally as clever and simple execution. Dev probably doesn't have the resources to make it look that good so they embraced the low fidelity look and it honestly works in this case imo Edit: Also, gen z humor, can't go wrong with some nice gen z humor xD
I think it's cause the chaos itself is mostly in the visual. The sounds are pretty subdued and there's mainly the constant loop of birds chirping and dogs barking.
By the way, the grenade launcher is a real thing. Some crazy Russian literally took a plank of wood and a GP-25 underbarrel grenade launcher and made his own.
Yo, sebil dev here. Aa far as I know, you're the first person to point this out. The gun is indeed not a shotgun or a generic grenade launcher. It is a GP-25 strapped to a wooden plank. Inspired by that photo of a Russian soldier holding one.
I really have a soft nostalgia for Unity games of this caliber. It’s the odd surrealism to be had from the realistic textures but contrasted by simple shapes. And of course, just plain fun jank. It’s beautiful.
i love how the grenade launcher isn't even a standalone unit and is instead a cheap underbarrel one off an AK that was tied to a plank with some twine.
I remember seeing someone else play this game a long time ago (maybe during a Steam Next Fest?) and am so pleased to see it again. Would love to see Vinny play more!
Hey I'm the game dev, thanks for posting this. I'm looking for things to improve and you're right, I even find the dogs annoying but I never took the time to find a better default ambience sfx. I'm gonna look around for a less repetitive one. Thanks for pointing it out.
I don't now why but at first i read the title as Debil Engineering instead of Sebil Engineering, but when i watched the gameplay, Debil Engineering ist definitely a better title for this game.
This is another one of these "Vinny plays it wrong so I have to buy it"-games isn't it. Edit: Yup, thanks Vinny! Double Edit: I'm not the only one 35:15
Im a civil engineer as my day job. Believe it or not, parking lot designs actually have an element of this in the real world, except we're using hundreths of a foot - you have to pitch different corners and parts of the pavement so water drains appropriately into drainage structures.
1 hour of mobile game ad. So painful but somehow so fascinating. Magic. How does this man ALWAYS have something that 90% works, half the level left to edit to make it work, then he just starts hitting random buttons to edit the already perfect section of track, and is surprised when it wasn't the solution. It's like watching a car crash in- wait a minute... Perfect content actually. Edit: And then to spite me, the jank ends up working because bin is actually more powerful than I can comprehend.
The most accurate part of this game is that when the road is the civil and hammer enginerring? Break in road, and going fix it. Damn repair it. This car is moving, and gravity? Not enough! Moving in on up, makes difficult, but not any more! New tool, science, feeling I'd joy for civilisations! This really says a lot about how the solution to traffic is if everyone just rode bikes

21:00 One must imagine Vinny happy...
From the way the cars drive to the quality of the roads, this game feels like an accurate representation of Long Island
This is really calming despite the chaos
Odd, I say the exact same thing out loud to myself after intentionally starting forest fires in the Coast Ranges of California
I think it's cause the chaos itself is mostly in the visual. The sounds are pretty subdued and there's mainly the constant loop of birds chirping and dogs barking.
