This video is excellent. It goes straight to the point and defines the basic principles in easy-to-understand language. I think it might be worth noting that Alderfer based his ideas on research results whereas Maslow basically cut his from whole cloth. Maslow's hierarchy was based on the biographies of famous people, after all.
