    I’m sorry but I don’t believe that EA is changing recruiting like twice per week like you TH-camrs are trying to convince me to believe

      We didn't believe it either at first. However, we confirmed it when the data changed.

      No 100% they are I am in several online leagues and this last 2 seasons everyone could tell that the recruits had definitely changed. There used to never be a gem 5 star that wouldn't be star or elite but 5 star gems now can be normal development with high caps. They just start with a higher overall

    Honestly kind of like the change. Allows more free flowing RNG so its not so mechanical in recruiting. Where we'd have to hyperfocus on gems and if we found a bust or lost a gem it'd feel like losing a limb. But now its like well guy X is a bust BUT he's a 5* recruit with decent attributes he can be a stud still.

      I’m in the same boat with you .. since recruiting system itself is kinda bare bones the skill caps and gem system kinda balances it out … or you would have a team of monsters pretty easily … now you just have a team of low overall monsters I like it tho 😂

      counter argument ... more RNG means less skill which leads to one of two common solutions for most: save scum rerolling or not caring at all & just recruiting what's available without any real punishment. Neither creates a good recruiting system (one takes a lot of time the other requires zero) and really sucks any sort of diversity in recruiting strategies - making really dull & repetitive seasons regardless of the team chosen.

    They should keep the gem/bust system but we shouldn't be able to know what their potential should be until down the road in their careers. Bring in some type of talent evaluation into the game

    I’ve noticed that even with max out hours on certain recruits that I’m losing recruits more often to teams lower then me on their interest list

    Does T4G provide a chart of what pipelines produce the best at what positions? Such as Ohio produces Elite Agile Guards, South Florida produces Elite Deep Threat WRs, Impact Physical WRs, Central produces Star Zone CBs, etc

    Skill cap and development traits go hand in hand but the ranges are different

    The thing that bothers me so much about the change is gem or bust yeah may mean a better development and lower skill caps but i have had 5 stars be gem players and normal development with high caps. While in the same class bust be the exact opposite and i dont have a spread sheet to go off for them. My example is this a PWR HB with 94 speed but he busted i am guessing because his trucking and carrying were low but was elite development and had 2 caps. The only reason i went after him was his speed though.

      Not yet, the player apply their skill points base on their archetype.

    can someone explain the skill cap. when he mentions the caps Im looking for indicators of what he's talking about but cant make the correlation

    This kinda sucks because it makes scouting more important which really hurts smaller school rebuilds.

      But it’s more realistic. Smaller schools usually luck into guys or have to lock in only 2 or 3 guys

      I keep having players get their stuff reset... I'll have a player maxed out on their personal hours not the overall recruiting ones. I'm talking the 50 or 60 each player gets total.. I'll have a recruit at like 50 of 50 hours next thing I know it's saying 0 of 60 and then I get passed by other schools cause it's acting like I didn't have any hours towards the player when I advanced the week

    How do you see the skill caps? Why is less better?

      They are putting it in a confusing manner. The skill caps are visible on the player card, and the less "caps" a player has means that the player's ceiling is higher because they have more room to grow. I don't like referring to it as the players having more skill caps (or even worse "cap breakers") because you'd naturally presume that more = better.
      There are situations where having a lower ceiling can be beneficial. If a player can't progress in ratings, he'll progress in physical abilities, but you're usually only making that argument with 4-5 star players because they'll be capped at a point where they can get decent physical abilities.

      Yeah 5 star gems with normal development. Until this recent change a 5 star gem was never a normal development. I have simmed hundreds of seasons and never seen a 5 star normal development gem player. Now bust 5 stars can be elite and vice versa

    Okkkkkk what in the flying fishsticks is going on here.... Why are some of my recruits like basically resetting..
    I've been noticing the hours for their invidiual ones like the max 50 or 60 will reset to 0 of 50 or 60..
    I had a defensive end basically almost to the commit level.. The bar was filled almost All the way to the end.. I had his personal hours at 60 of 60.. With things like hard sell and couple other things... I finish a game. Advance week. He didn't commit so I'm like ohh wow he is so close to committing let's see what happened... I go to his name and now me goes from having us first to 3rd and his recruiting bar thing is now only 3 quarters of the way full and his personal hours are now at 0 of 60 and under current action summary it only is showing 2 influence arrows for the scholarship offer.. I didn't take any of his things away. I've noticed this happen with others... Wthhhh

      @thebayharborbutcher9115 i dont play that fantasy trash. I only play dynasty. What's around the core game is okay except for the scouting. That shit is bad and slow moving. Madden's scouting is worse though. The core game itself feels ancient. It feels like NCAA 14 ported into this game. It's awful. The game speed is awful. The graphics are 2013. Physics are 2013. The cut scenes are not rendered to modern tech so they are extremely choppy if you have a higher grade tv. The PIP is useless. There is no broadcast style immersion. Studio Updates are purely verbal, which 2014 did 100x better. Player movement is jerky. Blocking is bad. Defense is mostly nonexistent as offense is constantly overpowering. Pass accuracy is too good. Overall presentation is horrible after the intros. It's basically an expensive poorly designed Indie quality video game. I would expect this on a low budget studio like Axis or Maximum Football. I have not been impressed one bit on how this game came out. It's kind of the same game that we played or most of us played back in 2013 with fewer options and less detail. No one asked for a arcade style game. Most want something that resembles what is shown on tv or at a stadium. This game doesn't resemble any of the actual game. Yes, college games are generally higher scoring, but its so easy to score in this game. The game speed makes it feel like you are playing a arcade game at an actual arcade back in the 90's. I think it needs to be more customable to how YOU want to play the game, not how THEY want you to play the game. Go ahead and have that Sonic speed, but give the consumer the option to slow that speed down or customize the presentational experience. What i don't like, in all EA games really, is the lack of broadcast presentation. Madden 25 has better presentation than this game and it's still horrible in that aspect. There's only 2 statistical overlays in CFB25. That's it! The only time you see that is on the initial drives. Even game breaks show nothing. Where is a halftime show?? This is why i think it's one of the worst games i have ever played. Definately the worst college game ever made. Some say it's just the reintroduction and that's why it's bare bones and design is not there yet. I don't think that way. It feels like NCAA 14.1 except with fearures and immersion removed. 3 years used to develop a game that was already made 11 years ago. There's a ton to fix about this game. I have barely touched it since launch. If you feel differently, that's cool. I know tons of others feel the same as i do. The user reviews show it with scores between 2-3 stars. The hype was real. I was looking forward to playing. Content Creators hyped it up. But, i can't trust their "reviews" really. They are biased. They are not told specifically to give a positive review, but they have this nonverbal pressure to make the game sound like it's a super game. If they say something bad about the game they wouldn't be invited back to play and review the next installment. This game was highly overhyped. If they ever want to improve this game they need to open it up to the consumer base for Beta gameplay and LISTEN. All i can say about this installment was a big swing and miss. I probably won't buy CFB26 until i see some gameplay or play a demo or Beta myself.
