We will just keep driving our 11 Ranger XLT super cab 4WD, body on frame with the 4.0L V6 engine and the 5spd automatic transmission with a limited slip differential. Before adding a K&N intake and a 3” FlowMaster exhaust system we were getting 19mpg with the cruise set on 75mph on the highway. We now get 23mpg. We HATE Silver, Grey, Charcoal Grey or Black. We bought our 11 Ranger in 19. It had only 20K miles and it happened to be Silver, so I wanted to break up the Silver so I had it 2 toned. It’s now Silver over Red metallic. Of course the interior was gloomy grey and death black, so I had it reupholstered in Red with black trim and stitching. I also added running boards, custom wheels, window vents, rear air shocks, LineX spray in bed liner, Dashboard cover, pinstripes, mud flaps, tonneau cover and Cooper Discoverer A/T tires. The limited slip rear differential and tow pkg comes in handy. I’ve gotten many compliments on the 2 tone paint and custom interior. Last summer I had 2 guys offering to buy our Ranger. One offered $25K and the other offered $28K. I told both of them that it’s not for sale. When it hit 30K miles I had the front and rear differential, transfer case, transmission fluid and oil changed, (like I do with all our vehicles). I change the oil and filter every 6 months (which is about 1,500 miles) with Valvoline High Mileage Full Synthetic Oil. The High Mileage Oil has additives to Decrease engine wear. Our Ranger currently has only 36K miles. This is our 4th Ranger. We’ve been buying them since the 80s and have proven themselves to be durable little pickups. Ford has had issues with the new Ranger’s with the 2.3L turbo engines, as well as the 2.7L V6 turbos. Yeah, I’d like to replace our soon to be 13 year old Ranger but ours is paid for, is reliable and will easily go another 200K miles. It’s mainly used for work around our property but I do drive it into the city (25 miles away) about once a month to keep it going. If I sold it, then I’d have to come up with another $25K-$35K for a new pickup and that would be stupid.
Now, I really love the look, you've out did yourself 's. Where you have the orange, can that be any other color if choose to be by the costumer Like lime green, or cool blue?
Looks great but the name for me is like writing AMG on an M car those two are direct competitors in the hype truck scene ford is raptor and dodge is t-Rex it only makes sense if you mixed T-Rex bits to create it
This is a beautiful truck. The graphics are awesome. And I can even get used to all of that orange on the interior because of those really cool seats. However, I can’t get with using the name “T-Rex” on a Ford “Raptor.” It’s just weird. Other than that, like I said earlier, this is a beautiful truck.
