The straight edge has two faces to it when your pulling towards yourself don’t use the back edge if you watch careful especially in the garage your shredding on an angle , probably getting tired and understandable but you need to keep the screed flatter , just an observation from an old con creature

Great job, Ninja. Thanks to Christine for filming so well. That dry mud looked like hard yakka but came up perfectly. The longer video was brilliant, especially to demonstrate your smooth style and efficiency. I still have a chuckle when I hear our cousins over the pond saying we take too long screeding in Oz ... then they show how they use a piece of timber and spend forever and a day trying to take the waves out with bullfloats and on slider boards and various gadgets and whatnot. They can't seem to see that two (or three) blokes on 10 foot screeds are faster and more accurate than two fellows dragging a piece of 16 foot timber around ...
Hats off to your rakers too. 👍👌👊🎯

Yes you can get it flatter pouring dry concrete but why do you need it that flat.? Even as flat as your getting it and just going out and back once with the bull float if it rains on that slab the water will pond in a place or 2 maybe 3 or 4 places. Pour it wetter use 2 guys on a 16 foot screed, run the bull float out and back 2 or 3 times and get rid of that expensive concrete pump 🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌
