As always, it is like watching a watchmaker in his craft. You help me say to myself, go slow, get it right Kevin. Thanks man.
Glad to help Kevin, my Dad used to repair watches but I don't have the time 😅
🤦♂️
Who will be the last man standing?! 😂
Great work on the tail. She's definitely going to be a tough model. Frustrating to have to check every measurement...strange isn't it
@@mikeparkercreative5136 Thanks Mike, not really strange, just drawn by a sloppy draughtsman! If it was drawn from the prototype the plan wasn't corrected and checked by building another model from the updated version 🤔
I enjoyed building as much as flying.Great job Cliff.
You and me both Don, cheers 👍
Very bulky and sturdy construction. Somehow incredible how such a structure can be put together with so little weight. Very nice collection of building practices also.
Thanks Andrew, plenty of challenges in this build but nothing insurmountable... yet 😁👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Agreed 1, extremely durable build!
Thanks Don 🙂@@donedwards3811
I like to watch build videos, gives me a little bit of motivation to continue on my projects.
Good yob sir.
Little and often Stanko gets the job done 😁👍
Hi cliff , good build video, I think your suggestion to mirror image the tailplane, as you,ve found the mistake in the plan , so now you can fix the small problem, anyway makes a good video all the same,
Thanks Tony, I elected to just get on and build it, it won't make any difference to the flying 👍
That looks orsum Cliff, funny you was watching the Friday Feeling. I will watch to the end buddy.
@@DadsRCHangar Between you, Mark, Giba and Jeff I'm kept royally entertained whilst sanding 👍
Looking very nice Cliff…👌
Thanks 👍
Another great video I'll be watching to the end mate, wondering what tricks the plan still has in store for you 😁
I know there's going to be problems with the wings but it'll make the maiden all the sweeter Mark 🤯👍
@CliffHarveyRCPlanes too true
Really enjoying this build. I'm getting more into kit building as it's more satisfying than flying the ARTF's for me. My skills are a bit basic but I learn loads from you. How do you cope with plans that are poorly drawn?? Looks like a nightmare to me. Best wishes.
Thanks for watching Ouch, measure three times, cross reference everything and keep the swear jar handy 🤔😁
I built balsa gliders back in the 80s. I recall using some new type of watery white glue but I can’t remember what it was called. I think that its advantages were that it was very strong and there were no fumes. Does anyone recall using something like that?
Hi Owen, it may have been an 'aliphatic' white glue, I use it occasionally if it was, great memories now get back to building another one!, cheers
I am following, and really like what you are doing. The only thing I do not like is the 9mm balsa. In all other metric countries we use 10mm. I think the reason the UK went with 9mm is that 1/8" is equivalent to 3mm, 1/4" is equivalent to 6mm, so you went 9mm for 3/8". However, 1/8" is 3.2mm, 1/4" (2/8) is 6.4mm and 3/8" is 9.6mm So, why not go up .4mm instead of down .6mm. Bugs me a lot.
@@gudjonolafsson Bugs me too Gudjon, thanks for following along your continuing support 👍
