But I did see the title "WIP." edit: no one mention that it's because of the helmet cam even though I know full well it alters the sound a bit. The car doesn't sound like a Porche to me, it has to have more of a beefier whine.

Don't get fooled by awesome graphics if you're wanting a "sim." This game is far from a sim like Assetto Corsa, rFactor, AMS, iracing, etc. If you want just a really fun game that is very pretty then you are going to love this game! But, if you want an accurate sim, this game will disappoint you. GT, NFS, and Forza are all "arcades" so if that is your wheelhouse then this game is going to be loads of fun!!!

I love the camera setting it's a helmet cam with no motion blur effect. I had PC1 and I don't think this cam setting was in last PC let me know anybody if it was

Will there be qualifying? I hate how like in Forza there is no qualifying. When you start at the back of a grid of about 15 cars, you then have to choose between winning a race or having competitive AI. I hate how Forza doesn't really promote racing with its perks system in Forza 6, and lack of Championship and Qualifying. I hope there are no car mods either. Just stock cars. Like I hate how I cant race against stock road cars in Forza 6
I hope they include either in this or Forza 7, a feature I really liked from Gran Turismo 5, where you host a track like Nurburgring online, but there is no race no nothing. You start in the pits, and do as many laps as you want. Had a real track day type of feel with all sorts of skill levels and cars. Lap times were counted and listed. You were also able to add a good variety of filters like maximum bhp, or no race cars, etc
ThePTChem the gear noise if thats what you wondering. Road cars dont have straight cut gears. Race cars use straight gears to eliminate radial load from helical gears.

Espero que por lo menos el rendimiento no sea tan pésimo como en el primero y la configuración del FFB tan tediosa, aparte de tener un ffb bastante malo comparado con los mejores. El rival de este juego creo que es gran turismo sport y forza 7. Juega en otro mercado distinto que los simuladores de pc.
Look again! They nailed Porsche handling. Watch a real race with any Porsche at drivers position and compare it to footage of the game, the balance, steering angle is pretty much the same. There are some tweaks to do, but the game is shaping good, you can't deny it. 911s are better in Pcars 2 than AC. On the other hand, the Audi R8 handling in Assetto Corsa is the most accurate. Regardless, Project Cars 2 is still a WIP, at beta stage we can only hope things will get better. GT and Forza are completely different games.

Por cierto llevo ya cientos de horas en simuladores. Quiero y deseo que este pc2 sea lo que no fue el 1. Puse mucha fe e incluso done algo de pasta en el proyecto y luego fue un fracaso. Mark Tucker are you the type of person who things GT Sport sounds a good? because these sounds a pretty good. Transmission whine is great and not to over exaggerated granted the 911 is the best example but a lot of other cars sound great.
I know nothing of GT Sport because I don't own a playstation, go and watch an onboard lap of a porsche GT3R and tell me the sounds from PC2 are as good as they could do.

Could be the camera he's using. In Project Cars the sounds are slightly muffled when using the helmet cam, maybe its the same in pcars2

That engine kinda sounds strange of throttle, as if it had a turbo which it clearly doesn't have. I have never heard that sound on onboards...
