- In preparation for retirement and live more sustainably, Patricia moved into a custom 22’ tiny house on wheels parked on beautiful Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Her outdoor living space features a spacious deck, near her garden with berries, herbs and a fruit tree. She currently works from home, 3-4 days/week, as an accountant. Her tiny home features an amazing home office with room for a filing cabinet.
Downsizing and reducing her housing expenses is allowing Patricia to save money for retirement, perhaps even early retirement.

This is the most livable tiny home I've seen yet. It's also gorgeous. I love all the windows of various sizes. Those add such an open airy feeling. Well done!

This is probably the first of these videos that shows the person actually living realistically in the house. Other videos I've seen look like model houses with sparse furnishings and stuff.
I never expect to be wowed with anything under 30’ but this has exceptional layouts that aren’t crowded. The builder should have had a door on fuse box and the only thing I’d want to change is add a stove and oven for my use. She has a great tiny house 👏👏

This is a very clever design that I think will easily adapt to whatever changes comes her way. I especially liked the deck and entryway. The extra wide door will make changing furniture/appliances much easier should it ever become necessary - and she can stand up whenever she gets out of bed. Bonus points for that.

Super well organized and lovely home. The big deck is a great plus and the garden area creates a really spacious feeling. The French door with the small side door is an excellent idea.
I like the spacing area of the room and everything so comfortable and beautiful tiny house.
I'm not even finished watching and I just have to comment about how amazing your dishwasher is!!! I didn't know they were made that small!👍

But what is the point for one person? I spend all of five minutes a day cleaning up from meals. I admit that it’s cute, but I wouldn’t give up space for such a novelty.
@@jaybeecee1949 I totally agree!! Why to you need a dishwasher in a tiny home?? It just seems like such a waste.
I love the dishwasher. I need my counter space and would love not to move the dish drain all the time. I like hiding even my small amount of dishes when I need to hurry out the door. I'm so glad to see it because ive6been wanting to get one. Also, when you live alone, I found I needed conveniences because I had injuries. So a dishwasher would have been extremely helpful.

Little miss dolly was my favorite tiny home but the design on this one is very well thought out and functional. Ok. This is the one I want to live in.

Agreed! Finally! A tiny house you stand up in the bedroom!! I also agree about seeing all the files from work. Looks like a preference. I would make it more sleep/comfortable looking. But shes retiring soon and already is planning that space accordingly. Cheets!

Very nice! Always love seeing people so proud of their tiny homes and how feasible (and enjoyable!) this lifestyle is.
I a lot of retired people do not think about possible health disabilities that may require bigger openings, assessablity, and adaptations. But hey to each their own.

Hi Patricia :-) We have the same lifestyle! I went Tiny in 2009. 250 Sq ft in the foothills of the Siskiyous in Southern Oregon

Thank you for the feedback! :) Sometimes we don't mention those details based on the request of the homeowner. Generally speaking, Patricia is parked in a mobile home park in Saanich on Vancouver Island.
So this is allowed in this ares. I am very much interested to move to this area.

Beauitiful, small and practical - The office is perfect for the self employed single person - Why do we always design for doubles, Queens or Kingsized beds - If someone gets lucky then a king single is more than enough and a reminder that the owner is independent and not wishing to be moved in on. We need to design into our lives a practical way of earning a living that supports the persons lifestyle. How many days bookworking would you need to be able to support the minimal demands of tiny house living?

Interesting layout. Love all the storage. I do think I will be using that front door system for my own in the future. I think it's a great way to get a wide entrance & that open air feeling in a small space.

Thanks for sharing your tiny house! Love your doors and thinking ahead for a wider entrance! 36" doesn't always accommodate! I really liked your kitchen and your bedroom-office area. Your 'living area' was such a good size. Your bathtub was really nice as well. All your windows are wows! I lived on Whidbey Island for a few years and when you started showing your berry bushes it brought me back to the PNW. Great scenery. Hope you have a good camera and use it.
