I have both of them. 3 cats and 1 dog which go very well together. Problem is that ppl buy cats but don't train them or set boundaries with them like ppl do with dogs cuz they think cats are way more easy to keep as a pet which is BS. If you set boundaries for cats and train them they can be very loving and nice pets to keep. Same with dogs, if you don't train/socialise them they won't listen, do their own thing and attack other dogs.😅🤷♀️

as someone who’s owned a dog and a cat, i’d say they’re pretty even. cats are easier to take care of, but can be bastards sometimes, and dogs are great companions, but require too much attention. i prefer bearded dragons, myself.

As person who has owned both it really depends on each one. Cats can be really nice and not much work but can also be the devil. Dogs can be nice and fun. Though can also be the most annoying thing ever.
My cat is literally the cutest. Every time I don’t feel good, she comes around, and just lays on top of me and purrs. And the rest of the time she just lays somewhere or follows my mum everywhere she goes, which is pretty funny. She’s literally just a sweet little fluff ball that’s extremely clumsy lmao

As a person whos owned both a cat and a dog, i can say they are both diff. Tbh cats are actually more human like. They show more personality and individuality which i never expected. Edit: mind you, this is my experience as someone who used to hate cats, until i had the chance to interact and form a bond with one. Theres no right or wrong, but youd be foolish to write off a cat until you have had a close relationship with one. Dogs are easier to like as they are more trusting given their pack animal nature (not far from humans) cats are more standoffish to strangers, but once you have one that trusts you, their intelligence and individuality in personality is actually very surprising, especially having only experienced dogs most of my life

I’ve had four cats in my life who have all passed away sadly and they were the most wonderful creatures I’ve ever had. Not once did I hate them. As someone who owns both cats and dogs, I can assure you that they both are genuinely amazing pets. I had four rescue dogs before we finally rescued a kitten off the street. Before we got our cat, I was just like Simon and assumed that dogs are better because they are playful and cats are bad because they can attack you out of nowhere. It's true that my dogs are playful and my cat does scratch me out of nowhere but they both have their amazing qualities and even bad qualities too. Dogs are way more dependant and attention seeking and their howls and barks sometimes just annoy the shit out of you, however they are still these amazing balls of furs that can make you smile instantly on the other hand my cat is a nuisance (never has knocked anything) and scratches us out of nowhere but there are many such moments where my cat just amazes me where my cat just understands the situation around him and adapts and reacts accordingly and the fact that cats are independent just is an added bonus. So yes all in all both dogs and cats are amazing and there's absolutely no need to call one superior than the other.

As a person whos owned both a cat and a dog, i can say they are both diff. Tbh cats are actually more human like. They show more personality and individuality which i never expected.
Edit: mind you, this is my experience as someone who used to hate cats, until i had the chance to interact and form a bond with one. Theres no right or wrong, but youd be foolish to write off a cat until you have had a close relationship with one. Dogs are easier to like as they are more trusting given their pack animal nature (not far from humans) cats are more standoffish to strangers, but once you have one that trusts you, their intelligence and individuality in personality is actually very surprising, especially having only experienced dogs most of my life

Meh, I like all animals and have had many types of pets. Even worked hands on with a tiger for 2 years. As the saying goes "Dogs are for people who wish to be worshipped like a god. Cats are for people with the strength to have a god stand on their chest at 5am and demand a sacrifice."
I just don't get the cat hate from people who exclusively like dogs. I’ve had four cats in my life who have all passed away sadly and they were the most wonderful creatures I’ve ever had. Not once did I hate them. As someone who owns both cats and dogs, I can assure you that they both are genuinely amazing pets. I had four rescue dogs before we finally rescued a kitten off the street. Before we got our cat, I was just like Simon and assumed that dogs are better because they are playful and cats are bad because they can attack you out of nowhere. It's true that my dogs are playful and my cat does scratch me out of nowhere but they both have their amazing qualities and even bad qualities too. Dogs are way more dependant and attention seeking and their howls and barks sometimes just annoy the shit out of you, however they are still these amazing balls of furs that can make you smile instantly on the other hand my cat is a nuisance (never has knocked anything) and scratches us out of nowhere but there are many such moments where my cat just amazes me where my cat just understands the situation around him and adapts and reacts accordingly and the fact that cats are independent just is an added bonus. So yes all in all both dogs and cats are amazing and there's absolutely no need to call one superior than the other.
