    Looks like they got it fixed. I just left the dealership with my wheel weights and the package had hex head bolts and carriage bolts in it.
    I’m sure this video is helped a lot of people

    I installed 3 weights on each side. Used 4 pieces of ready rod and installed the first two with the slots lined up and installed the outer with the round hole over the slots. This prevents the bolt from moving around in the slotted holes. Very solid.

    I had the same issue with the new 2038R(uses same wheel weights). Could attach first set but not the second. Thanks for the video!

    It appears from the video that the dish on your wheel is concave (dished in toward the tractor) and you are installing the weights convex. The curvature should match concave side of the weight to conclave side of the wheel and vice versa. Secondly I think you are supposed to insert the carriage bolts into the wheel as you did, then loosely put the washers and nuts on a few threads then put the weight in place using the keyhole just to hang them in place until you twist the weight to engage the slots and tighten the nuts . If you are planning to add additional weights you loosely assemble the hex head bolt in the round hole in the first weight and then place the keyholes on the second weight over the washers on the hex head bolt. Also It looks like the location of the round hole is close enough to the casting to prevent the bolt from spinning as you tighten the nut when you put it through in the correct direction. Except for the concave to concave fit, I may be full of stuff, I don’t have any experience with this style of wheel weigh, it just seems logical to me. I’d like to know if I’m wrong.

    Great video... I feel your pain as I'm going through basically the same situation with my 2025R. I picked up the first set of weights with the bolt packages. In the bolt package were 8 carriage bolts, 4 nuts, 4 lock washers. I was like what the heck is going on here. Going to pick up my second set of weights next week and will make sure these bolts are of harden strength type, along with getting the additional nuts n washers. I have to admit from dealing with county and township issues lately... this pandemic has complicated proper paperwork and issues from being correct and completed in a timely manner.

    My dealership put 48 gallons of windshield washer fluid in my rear tires. That equates to approximately 480 lbs. of ballast. What concerns me about this, will i have issues later with my wheels rusting out. You are exactly right about the dealerships not having any concerns about your warranty. When i bought mine, i was interested in a backhoe for the tractor. They offered me an aftermarket brand and said it attached to the 3 point hitch. Which shouldn't void my warranty but they weren't sure. I had already researched this e series tractor and John Deere doesn't offer a backhoe for this tractor. So that told me don't put an aftermarket brand on it. I am impressed with the 3025 e. For the price and the work it is a great little machine. I seen on a commercial the other day that the new e series are now offering a backhoe with a subframe designed for the 3025e. I'll have to look into this. Thanks Dave

    How many Wheel weights can you stack on each wheel? Hardened carriage bolts are new to me! Cool!

      You can stack up to 3 weights per side. I know the metric bolts we have at work at marked 8.8, but that is only hex. I did some quick searching online and hardened carriage bolts are hard to find.

      I agree... the manual stated you can have three weights per rear wheel, along with liquid ballast.

      Thank you. I purchase my 3025e last May in large part due to your sharing experiences with it. Thanks.

    Man, this is sad! I am concerned about their inept handling of your issues.
    I have a new JD...now I am beginning to be anxious about service/parts in future.

    Interesting experience. I need some weights for my 3038e so I paid attention to your story. How much do these weigh and cost?

    Am I the only one who notices that the carriage end of the bolts didn't fit in the holes provided?

      there not dumb really... they can mostly only go by what they have showing on the computer screen. I've looked at there computer screen with my weight issues, and the pics shown are for the most part are not too detailed.

    can these weights be put on the front wheels?

    • @stuntcardriver
      @stuntcardriver  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure. I think the spacing is different between wheels.

    • @looloo6322

      no, don't put weights on the front wheels.

    That's not the experience you should be getting when paying the premium for that green paint!

    • @stuntcardriver
      @stuntcardriver  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No one makes a premium product anymore. Some just don't have as may issues. And I am small potatoes to them.
