They never will because Brett Lane was who smokes coach was and Brett left and went to be in charge of the Johns Creek Stingray gym. Now Roger Schonder is the coach so they used Steel as the new name. "Smoke" is retired.
I cheer there. Steel took over smoke. Roger coaches steel. Yes slate was small coed but that doesn't mean anything. Roger had no idea how many boys would come last year but the name steel was made up for the new coed team we would have either way. We had no idea we would even have a slate. Also Smoke used to be large limited coed (when that was still around) and then they went small for one year. Slate just happened to become a team after they decided to have a Steel because we had to many boys. Also Slate wasn't even supposed to be in a senior division last year. It was originally a junior team. They just made it a senior team to get the kids experienced. Steel is the main coed team at Stingrays btw slate isn't even a team anymore.
