Pakistan batting performance was still a problem. But bowlers show some fight nd pitches also help them let's see Adelaide main kya hota hain . Agree with you we Indian not perform well in our own condition 😢😢.
Apart from KL, Gill also reminds me of Babar here, a good bunch of runs, aesthetic looking shots and great records, but a big match? Under pressure situation? He has hardly 3-4 such knocks which may not look so bad right now since he’s quite young but still. A 25 year Kohli was expected to deliver big which he always did. If he could change that in BGT, then some of those comparisons with Kohli might make sense.
I'd say, Gill is just your normal indian opener, who does good in bilaterals, semis but falls in finals. He's definitely gonna be pushed, he's got instagram following, Looks which can sell brands, him and abhishek are gonna go places cause it's talent meets looks
@ i agree only partly. While i admit the guy has so much to prove, i wouldn’t want to conclude anything just yet given the kind of talent he is and its not like he hasn’t played a single clutch innings (literally made his debut with one in gabba). But ofc he must do that more often fr India given the potential and backing he’s got. Its simple if he does that, he could be Kohli’s successor (not an equivalent) if he fails he’ll be the next KL Rahul. This BGT would be big fr most of our team imo and he’s no different. As fr Abhishek, he has to play more internationals for us to have an idea, in IPL tho he does seem to fail in knock-outs, while Gill interestingly has a stellar IPL knockouts record
@@okayysam Does IPL even counts, IPL is a domestic batting heavy competition from last five years. I'd give the fact that he's played some good games for India but he hasn't actually played that clutch innings which made sachin, virat, Ganguly, rohit the fixture of the team.
@ that’s why i didn’t make a point abt it in my original comment. It was just relevant to you taking Abhishek’s name whom we haven’t seen much outside IPL. Again he has a few clutch innings but comparing it with the no of matches he’s played and the potential that gets him that backing, its insufficient as of now. And Rohit attested himself in this list much later, i mean you remember his innings in 2007 final but it was followed by a good no of knockout failures, his test career took flight after a good while and some genuine backing, he has truly overcome that to some extent in 2023 wc and very much in 2024 wc. Otherwise he wasn’t the most reliable too. Not comparing him wth anyone but generally speaking.

Sarmad is spot on with Niazi, he was the only one who was looking comfortable apart from Babar.
