I saw several on their breeding grounds in Northern Sweden in June. Behaviour is rather different, you see them perched on tops of conifers calling repeatedly.
Wow, that must have been a fantastic site. I have a friend who lives in Stavanger called Knut and he went up to Svalbard on a birding trip with some friends and recorded a Spotted Redshank doing exactly the same thing.
