I still get goose bumps when I hear Ford's simple but incredibly raw solo in Sometimes Salvation when he was with The Crowes. The rawness just cuts to my bone.
I am an ordained Orthodox clergyman and I can say that from my point of view the only darkness for Marc has been his personal demons. He has been a creative man for many years - and true creativity is a divine occupation.
Like the song alot and Mark does some of his best work ever here,, when you have a great song already and you have the God given ability to somehow elevate an already great musical situation w a guitar solo ....well your truly a blessed talent!!! The solo to this song is as good as anything I have heard Marc play. I'm not into religion but if the man himself has needed to be saved from himself, then respect...

A lot of people don't think that guitar solos can be worshipful....WRONG. WOW!!! Chills all the way through this video. You can really feel the presence of the Holy Spirit through each voice and instrument. I did not make the Black Crowes connection until reading the other comments, but definitely hear that tone now. One persons' understanding and take on religion, how dare one be critical of another persons belief...I personally am uplifted by the messages here, and have not led an easy life really, but I find a lot of truth in this, as a person...I love this

After 5 minutes of "fluff" u receive a 1 minute rip from Mr. Ford. Song should be cut down by 3 minutes on the front half. Just my opinion. Marc is one of my all time favorite guitar players. Glad to see him still participating in global enlightenment. Peace.
