Go after Tee Higgins now that the Pats pulled out on trading for Aiyuk. 6'4, solid speed and quickness for a taller guy, pretty good route runner, and contested catch monster. Aiyuk isn't a true X. 49ers line him up all over the place. Higgins is a pure X and I think fits Maye's skillset just as well.
@AintNoWaye They're just saying that because they don't want to admit that Aiyuk didn't want to come here. They were prepared to trade a second round pick, Kendrick Bourne, and pay Aiyuk 30 mil less than 24 hours ago. You can't be that aggressive and change your mind completely. I still think they want to add someone proven. I think the price as far as trade compensation would be similar for Tee but they likely wouldn't have to pay him $30 mil per. I'd guess more on the lines of $27-28 mil and maybe 4 years instead of 5 like it was reported that Aiyuk wanted.
@@heathhersom6579 Agreed also they’d have to wait a year anyways since Bengals will refuse to trade him cause they know their SB window is closing and he would def rather be on a contender like that at least for another year. Plus as bad as Pats Wr might seen Higgins just isn’t a proven #1 and has injuries so you never know if he’d bang. Still can’t believe Bill turned down Aj Brown man
@AintNoWaye If the Bengals don't sign Higgins, then they'll lose him for nothing next year because the Benglas likely aren't signing another franchise tag because of the cost. I think it would be something like 40+ mil for one year fully guaranteed. It probably won't happen given how late it is in the year but if they don't have a contract for him mid way through the year then they might not have a choice but to try to deal him at the trade deadline.
The league started this contract fire. The patriots have a pretty good wr group, especially if Bourne can get back in the mix and will be competitive this season. Baker and Polk are two young studs that will really help this rebuild. Honestly, this money situation across the league is completely out of hand and needs a maximum amount locked into place for each position to put an end to all of this.
Hell yeah I get Brandon. Then you can use the drive to get the best tackle. Drake gets to practice with Brandon all season. By the time next season comes around Drake is the main man And within the third year we’re making a good run in the playoffs. Give Drake weapons to succeeded. He did sometimes the most insane plays in North Carolina, and he had nobody for most of the season.
I remember (not that long ago) when the Celtics were in this position and the conventional (i.e. "lazy") narrative was "no one wants to come to Boston" for whatever reason. Well, when you have a good, active GM who never stops and just reloads when momentarily unsuccessful, eventually you're gonna win. Eliot clearly knows what he's doing--sorry to disappoint Fegler--and he's going to get what he wants, one way or the other.
No #1 type receiver is gonna want to come here. Between the QB situation and the taxes, the Pats aren’t ideal. We need to work on getting Drake Maye to show some promise. Then we might get receivers to bite.
Players who are dissatisfied with their contracts are not obligated to shut up about it. The owners very seldomly honor contracts so why shouldn't a player do the same?
All a rumor dude.. The is no real reports or an actual press conference from Wolfe stating what the patriots were willing to give for him. These podcasts and sports shows start a ' I think this would be a good trade rumor, and it spreads like wildlife.
It's all in trying to see where and what the pats are trying to do and then screwing them. 20 years of winning nobody will allow the pats to get good again. Players and coaches.
No wrs are notoriously prima donnas and they don't wanna play in NE. Ayuik wants to play in Pittsburgh. Pats are offering the most loot. If it was bout the money he'd already be a patriot
AND.........The Patriots have just withdrawn from the trade talks because Brandon clearly don't his money enough to go to Boston. At this point, If I were the Niners, I would shut down all trade talks and tell Brandon to go sit down somewhere with his $14 million. They called his bluff and he more than blinked.
ya but 14 mill is nothing to him. if he gets injured this season he could lose un told millions, and if we offered him 30 mill/year and he didnt want to come here he definitely doesnt care about 14. they have to move hin
Those four guys Nick on the OL will either be on IL or so bad that they cant be on the field..when you let an OT like T. Smith sign with the Jets..you have all this $...you deserve to be BAD.
So...defeated in his quest to prove the Patriots will never pay for a top talent, Mike Fegin' Felger will pivot to "No one wants to play in New England,'... and then re-insinuate the Patriots are still "cheap" anyway. Watch for it.
Forget it...He doesnt want to play for a loser...Pats dont want to win in 2024...1-16.. Patriots pass on all the talented offensive stars in the NFL..take all the rejects/projects..ex Bourne/Schuster/Reagor. Team is garbage...tune out..become a 49ers/Eagles/Ravens fan..teams who want to win.
😂😂 nobody knows what he wants. The truth is it’s only Cleveland and Patriots making an offer right now. It’s up to Brandon if he wants to go. Nobody else is making offers.
As long as we do our due diligence in our pursuit to get better I'm happy with the process.
Take another swing at the receiver market at the trade deadline or next spring.

Would make them look dumb if they said they pulled out to focus on their new young guys & that theyre satisfied only to go out and fail again

He’s not available, maybe next year but he ain’t coming here this year. He signed his franchise tag
As of 10minutes ago the Patriots have officially pulled out of the trade talks. Scheffter confirmed.
Shefter is now saying Pats are out.

All the Celtics key acquisitions were done through trade. No one chose to be here.

I hope it happens.
It's a slap in face that Bourn wants to be here and we're ready to ship him off😊
I agree but on the other hand he really hasn't had high production. Wish they could get someone who wants to be here and has a high production rate.
@jeremyunderhill3203 totally understand and I agree 100 percent
Bro, it’s just business. He’s a health risk right now. I think they will keep him here though because he’s a great locker room guy.
@youtubeconnollyfamily that why I'm so glad I don't make front office decisions, but your right he has shown to get injured.

No need to add Judon if 49ers agreed to Bourne and a pick. We can make a trade down the line for Judon with someone else
If you wanted to get Aiyuk you had to find a way to get Jayden Daniels in the draft.
Taxassachusetts is a big problem
Pats removed themselves from ayuik running per shefter
She didn't dump me, I dumped her. 😂😂
@@FantasySportsZen yea sounds like ayuik didn't want to play for the pats. I was just going off of initial reports

They are black listed now be a decade before we get decent players on trade.

Part of me actually believe that theory of a conspiracy. 😢

Oh man. If the Pats lose to the Panthers things are gonna get comical real quick.

Tyron got to pick his destination. Just sayin. None of these talented guys want to be here.
The answer is No.
Nobody wants to be on a last place team
lol guy turned down 30 mil.
Top 5 $? He isn’t even a top 10 WR. Solid WR but this guy is not Jefferson, Chase, Lamb, Hill ect. Not even close.

LOL..these Pats fans who think Bourne is more than what he really is..an injured project..who is at best other NFL teams number 3/4.
Yeah. He's mid. And has almost zero trade value.
They accepted the trade so you look dumb lol

He wants to be a steeler pats don't have a chance it's the same as the 3 times they have tried to get a 1.
He really wanna go to Washington

I hope not.let the Browns have him.then maybe we can get CeeDee Lamb.he is much much better
