Lol, I think the patient is a bit dramatic about the pain she is experiencing. I have had people practice on me with no anesthetic and while it was uncomfortable, I never even flinched. . The technique looks perfect, nice job on teaching this.
great tutorial but I think it was a wrong selection of the model since she has a very low pain threshold and the pain reactions she was showing is actually rather discourage others undergoing the procedure!!
Agreed. Patient had a low pain threshold and was probably not the best model due to this.
@@junecremeans4042 it doesn’t hurt at all! I’ve never seen or heard of a reaction like this lady had!
shes lost the will to live by the end haha
I totally agree. The patient is reacting very strongly to something that should not hurt that much. I have been giving injections for 25 years and if I had a patient react like this, i would suggest that the technique needs to be reviewed..
I had Botox before even tho it’s don’t hurt but the fact that I’m scared of needles and thinking about it just makes me scared and that what the women is going through
Giving the injections and receiving them are two totally different things. The person in this video had to adjust her technique several times on getting a grasp of the needle. I've been getting these injections and they certainly do not feel good, some areas much more sensitive than others, but never have I seen them be injected this slowly. Also, medication reacts to people differently what doesn't effect one person may make another feel like it's on fire.
The Patient looks terrified
You should have picked a different patient. Drama queen.
Right? She looks like she's going to die.. lol Omg gosh such good instruction but, the worst patient ever.. I don't even feel those.
Great technique and doctor was patient and calming maybe better patient
🤣🤣🤣 you heard her pain with each injection. She had me laughing 😝 good tutorial.
🤣🤣 This video made me laugh so much! Not the best patient to be demonstrating botox on!!
I had it done so many times and it's not painful at all! now new people to this would think it's extremely painful because of the patient's reaction! She is dying there!
You must use 31G needle. Only 3 shots per needle because lost the sharp. I recomend use a coolsense device 5 sec. before shot. The position of the patien does not matter.
She must have a super low pain tolerance. Or the nurse is using a large needle because normally, botox needles don't cause pain. Also if the product it injected slow. If its injected fast it feels like a slight burning sensation. I recommend using 31 gauge needle for this.
very good series of videos
A little BLT, or EMLA cream applied to patients face 10-15 minutes prior to injections would have made the patient more comfortable.
She suffers , use some ice or some dermal cream with 5% anesthesic 30min before injecting botox , also 31 G needles and she will feel nothing
Next time you might not want to use your mother. She is very dramatic.
Giving the injections and receiving them are two totally different things. Have you gotten these injections OR can you feel exactly what she feels?? Your mom is quite sensitive. lol
Magnifique ❤
could you have found a more needle phobic patient? My wife gets this done w no lido and makes not a sound and the procedure is done in half the time.
super bravoo
Oh my goodness that women is totally overreacting !!!!

It looks very painful. I feel sorry that patient...The nurse should have used lidocaine with those painful injections.
Botulinum burns a lot, and some patients could show allergy to it. That's why a testing patch is very helpful.
TERRIBLE where’s the ICE??? The injector is very unempathetic. Use ice for crying out loud. Ice really helps. Also it’s not necessary to inject deeply in the crows feet area those injections should be done almost intradermally very shallowly.
Way too painful. Are your needles the right gauge? I never get this reaction from patients.
Dramatic lady! Gezz!!
How many total units did you use on this patient..fantastic video
All those people saying she's over reacting have you ever thought some people are hypersensitive? You all sound like the Dr that did surgery in my vein because MOST people don't feel anything while awake with local anesthetic. meanwhile blood cuddling sounds could be heard all the way to the waiting room while I had to finish by biting on something digging my fingers into the nurses hands. So please if your not her shut up
Wondering what kind of saline was used- bacteriostatic is less painful than straight up 0.9NS.
🤣🤣i cant believe she didn't numb her!! I would never have posted this video!!! Poor woman kept holding her breath.
I didn't want to, but I just must. This is not a good instructional video for Botox, and here's why:
The injections were done in a way that made it much more painful for the patient when it didn't have to be. If I were this injector, I'd practice softening my tone when instructing while working with a live patient (YES! Bedside manner is a part of any procedure and very important to the comfort of the patient and their experience). The licodaine topical anesthetic needs to be applied in a very thick layer (almost like cake frosting) and preferably covered with a heat concealing source (like saran wrap/plastic) so it doesn't evaporate and left on for a minimum of 15-25 minutes, depending on the patient's verbal ques of their own pain threshold. Botox is not at all supposed to be this painful for the patient, (which it clearly was) and you also do not have to inject that slowly. Another important thing, she didn't mention the differing depths that the needle needs to go into certain muscles, and she was much too shallow with the Corrugator supercilii muscles which could possibly result in hitting or sitting atop the Corrugators and being absorbed by the drop down fibers of the Frontalis muscle that sometimes lay over the Corrugators, resulting in the dropping of that part of the eyebrow tremendously, giving a heavy or even angry look, and leaving the Corrugators untreated. Thought I'd help out anyone watching this who is learning how to inject properly. Good luck and do your research! :)
The patient is showing disproportionate amount of pain you should be more aware of it and use ice or something other numbing technique to help her. Patients usually do not have this amount of pain it would help if you do I ice first it really makes a difference.
Hello..can you teach us how to read the syringe...what do you mean by 2 unit...how we determin the unit on the syringe. Thank u
Hope I can help you. 😇
0,1 ml on the syringe for botox is 4ui.
So from 0,1 ml- 0,2ml you have 4 ui.
That is how I learn it on the educations hope it can help
It should NOT hurt like that! And, shifty technique she should be changing out the gauge and you don't need to inject SLOWLY
HORRIBLE
Botox Injection can inject in writing cramps and how
What a total baby. This doesn’t hurt at all.
the model that you used was in too much pain, this video could discourage new comers that are interested in botox.
probably would have chosen a pt that didnt flinch and act like it was so painful.

This patient/ AKA you mother is sure to get lid lag; you are injecting much to close to the inner eye brow! She needed Xanax and lidocaine. Watching this video gives a horrible representation of Botox procedure. It should Never hurt this much!!!
Candiece Barnthouse So True Candiece Agree with everything you said....she is injecting too low and way too deep on the procerus...this muscle is just under the skin and is to be injected superficially as the crows feet.
peter parker with my due respect to everything you mentioned here , the procerus ms have a belly that should be deeply injected unlike the lateral quadrant of the orbicularis oculi that should be injected superficially with the intradermal bleb method .
wrong Candice you wont get ptosis which u are calling "lid lag" if u do not inject the orbicularis oris from the mid pupilarry point to the lat most point of the eye brow, frontalis injections must be a cm above that part of the eyebrow...its called anatomy....study it.
This is how my boyfriend acts when I inject him but even worse hahaha
Injections on the frontalis mm seem quite superficial, especially as the arteries are much more superficial in that region. I would think deeper injections on the frontalis using a lateral technique would be safer and give a more consistent result.
I'm confused why it's seeming to hurt her? I do my own and it's like nothing..
I don’t think she is dramatic coz I am the same when it comes to needles I just hate needles and I’m so scared of them .i had Botox before and yes it don’t hurt but the fact I’m needle phobic it still scared me so I don’t think she’s hurt she is just scared when the needle gets too close too her
As an injector for over 17 yrs. This procedure should not hurt this much. Even individuals with a low pain tolerance have not reacted this way. Possibly this patient should have had and ice pack prior to injection (not necessary but helps with patients who have low tolerance). Also, when the muscle is in contraction injection hurts much more. Most patients in our clinic generally say it does not hurt.
The way she is inserting the needle is extremely slow, when we do the injection, we insert the needle quickly but inject slowly, and most of the time the patient doesn't feel it
Esa modelo no sirve, a que explica es excelente !!!
Omg that me getting injections, even blood drown I’m like a baby
y should have back push y string before push the droug.
I didn’t feel pain like this lady.
Very heavy -handed physician, and much better position of the patient to be horizontal, and technic is very poorly done, better not to advertise!!
Sweet Jesus, that woman's reaction!! She sounds like giving birth 🙈
Poor lady it looks painful to her
very informative and professional very detailed, i agree its like she is fully dilated and zero percent effaced and trying to push that baby out!!!wonder what the conversation was after the video.
i didnt see many wrinkles in the woman at the start... so why this?
should've used some ice to numb...it's painful watching this
So many masochist people here, who loves injections and needles. No one likes needles, that is a normal reaction. I do the same reaction every time I get my botox. The needle supposed to be straight not in angle.
That depends on whether it's injected into the muscle (procerus) or superficial (periorbital).
What’s the toxin used here
OMG Botox is not painful at all. She’s like wincing and pulling away from the pain. FYI THIS IS NOT NORMALLLL 😂
I couldn't stand the patient! 😂
Hello I am interested in trying to use botox by myself. Can you tell me which type of injection ready to use or the kind of botox you use. Do you mix also with some phisical water solution or not? Amazon can sell your product? Thanks.
Omg why you don't use anesthetic She's suffering I saw a lot of procedure but they numb the area
How much is 4 units? I heard it was 0.1ml but I've seen people inject 0.05ml and call it 4 units
@@SubRosa33 All syringes have unit markers. Botox units are different from that on the syringe. It depends on how much the toxin is diluted. Typically 4 units of toxin equals 10 units (0.1ml) on the syringe.
So much for the numbing cream….
Yikes! at 6:30 the patient lets out a low sound from the pain. Don't think that I would have posted a tutorial on medical skills if my patient was responding like this.....
Couldnt even finish watching this😂 botox is not that bad🤦🏽♀️ it can be uncomfortable in some areas but this is too much hahaha

Omg!!!! Woman you r ruthless...... Im cringing just watching this poor woman hurting so much.
Wow u inject a lot of units in the eye area. 7 unit s a lot Per injection is 21 units Is it because she is older
Seems very painful, seems not used any anesthetic
How many units did u place in her forehead and eye? Would it be better to do less unis and more injects. And u try numbing cream and icing it ! That was painful to watch.
We learned that from futurama.
I think the patient needs to be numbed or deserves some ice to numb the area where injections are done. She is in freaking pain! Injector please consider that. She is not doing excellent. You are the one doing well I guess.
Isn't 7 units too much? I was thinking 2 units per injection.
Depends on the strength of the muscle. Everyone is different. For example, men require more product-still, depends on strength.
Pain is relevant , she needed some ice before to numb and distract , injector should be more sensitive to her ladies needs or choose a different subject ...
Excelent video . Thank You !
The patient looks absolutely miserable. Like you’re torturing her
The patient is in pain! What drama are you talking about, everyone is different in tolerating pain, the doctor should have asked her how she was feeling, unprofessional
she was a terrible patient for a video. she should have gotten someone else, or yes started another time, AFTER having number her up well. this was just dumb to upload this one. didnt help her or look good at all!
EXACTLY such inhumane uncompassionate people. Until it's them see how they feel being called drama queens
so cruel comments, disgusting (((
I bet it hurts this lady when she rips a Band-Aid off. 🙄😄
brave lady. did she get numbing cream? it seems not!Lol!
Too much suffering for this poor lady. Should use some topical lidocaine/ prilocaine.
Her patient should NOT be in that much pain
These patient is overexagrating.. Please how many units you inject.. Please saying while injecting
I thought it pain less? Why the lady almost cried when you started.. 😵😵😵😵
I think like me she has very lower threshold for pain. I will wince even if someone throw tomato at me. Let alone go NEEDLES
What a terrible example of what the Botox experience is like. If the patient is suffering that much she is not a good candidate for Botox. Either she is a drama queen or your technique is wrong or your using a dull needle. Why would you use this as a instructional video. Very disturbing and inaccurate depiction of the Botox injection experience.
WTF, that's one nervous patient to use!!!
A veia tá morrendo de dor 😜😅😂😅😂

Also, medication reacts to people differently what doesn't effect one person may make another feel like they're on fire. Botox IS a poison and how a person's body and reflexes react is different for everyone. ALSO, I get Botox for migraines not cosmetic purposes and with that being said I have hypersensitive nerves around my temples and eyes so I pass no judgment on this lady. It obviously hurt her and if it doesn't or hasn't hurt someone else or they have a high pain tolerance good for them. They should be glad, not criticizing someone who is effected. Plus this instructor had no bed side manners, her technique was flawed, and might I add even the Botox information website will tell you NOT to apply pressure or press down on a site. You may "pat" the area clean but applying pressure risks the medicine spreading to an area not intended causing blurry vision, drooping eyelid, etc.
The lady is so dramatic, she acts like she's giving birth...lol
omg, Ha ha crazy lady !!! you just put numb cream !!
Omg I would hate to see her in labour 😂 Botox does not hurt one bit great vid though 👏
I dont like the patient😣😣😣
Ladies is so funny 🤣
Is it really as painful as this lady is acting? She appears to be terrified of the needle even before it begins
Poor woman!
lol the patient or the nurse.......doing something bad
her client lol bad model with such painful expressions
This patient will require general anaesthetic to get fillers 😂
hahaha
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!
I was very surprised, I have never seen anybody in such a huge pain for a Botox injection. I thought she was gonna faint!
can just imagine in the lips on her.
@@ruthgarciafernandez1705,I am here I had the first botox injection one week ago, I reacted like her, even more, I am very sensitive on my face especially eyes. I had tears same times 😂
💯🤣
