    Don’t forget you can also pay the fee online for the US passport. You must send them the receipt that is provided from the government website. You still need a bank draft for the return.

      What happens if you put a 100 baht bank note with your application?
      Will the Embassy call you or just process your application and send you a new passport?

      Hi. I live in Turkey, and I need to ask you something. My question is that I just paid 130 for passport processing using my debit card, but where do I pay them for the return envelope? Or does 130 cover the return envelope? If I do have to pay, what kind of check does it have to be and can I just bring it to my embassy appointment? Please explain what is bank draft. Anything helps. Thanks

    I see this video was made a year ago. Was the online payment an option then as it is now? I ask because you paid $130 via bank draft. The checklist you include in your video is slightly different now. It says that you must pay online then send proof of payment. This seems straightforward except, the site states that you must not reside outside of Thailand to use this method. While I am living in Thailand and do not have a home elsewhere, I am on a tourist visa. So not sure if that bars me from using the online payment portal.
    Also, I am having the passport sent to my gym. The second page of the form asks for an address if the mailing address differs from where you live. But the fields provided only allow for a U.S. address. Not sure what to put.

    • @KenshoQuest

      Hi, you can absolutely do this even on a tourist visa. We almost did it for our kids last month except they told us it would take 45 days! Sorry, I am not sure about your address issue and don't want to give you any bad advice. Please do let us know how it goes so we can continue to help others out. Good luck!

      Hi, if you are applying by mail then you can just get a bank draft and from say Kasikorn bank. It will be in Thai Baht, no need to pay in USD. Just make sure you check the US Embassy website before you do this as the exchange rate does change. When you go into Kasikorn in Pattaya please bring your passport. Does this help?

      @KenshoQuest  ปีที่แล้ว

    What tracking code do you get from the US Embassy when they say they mailed back to you the new passport and the old passport?
    They say they send it back via registered mail. Already 10 days since they said they mailed it.
    Is it the application locator number when you log into the online application status?
    How were you able to track the US Embassy mailing of your new passport?

    • @KenshoQuest
      @KenshoQuest  ปีที่แล้ว

      HI, How did you mail? It depends on how you set your return envelope. If you used Thai post registered mail or DHL, you should have a tracking number for that. I used Thai post and entered my tracking number for the return envelope once I received the email from the US Embassy. But in your case it might be lost. Have you checked your post office or juristic office if you have one? Sorry to hear about your troubles. I hope you get it sorted.

      @@KenshoQuest thank you for your reply. Your videos are great! … But what I guess what I meant is, you implied that you had to pay for a “visa transfer” to the new passport. But if I don’t do this, will I be rejected from leaving or entering the country (or any other countries for that matter.. I have several valid visas for other countries as well. Would I need to just show the old passport with those valid visas inside, or do I officially have to have the visas “transferred” to the new passport?)…thanks for your time - awesome channel!

    • @KenshoQuest
      @KenshoQuest  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @C S, thank you for the kinds words :)
      Great question, and sorry I misunderstood. I do believe this will be a country by country decision. I recommend that you contact the immigration department of each country that you have a visa but having along your old passport will always help. And if you get a letter from the US Embassy, that will help too. I realize that this could be a monumental task so you might want to consider hiring an immigration service to assist you. As for the fee I paid for my transfer, let's just say that when I got my receipt of payment, that portion paid was left off.
      I realize I'm not fully answering your questions but I hope this helps!
