The accent change is such an excellent touch, it’s one of those things most wouldn’t understand how important of an impact it makes on the whole experience
I learned it's best to over exaggerate the accent when dealing with two languages with so many similarities. If I didn't, both would blend together in one big confusing dialect!
Brazil is incredible! I'm back in the good ol' USA but already planning my next adventure! Hopefully I can hit Argentina or Chile while I'm down there next 🤞
I agree it's neat, they're so similar but SO different at the same time! My fiancee and I hang out with her Brazilian friend pretty regularly and sometimes she'll have some more Brazilians around. I'm glad I spent the 90 days learning Portuguese because Spanish provided such a strong base that I can keep up. However, I have noticed that after a few hours with my Portuguese hat on (and really I'll be speaking Portañol most of the time), it takes me a while to revert back into my Spanish brain. I seem to be understood the whole time, but I can always hear myself pronouncing certain words with the incorrect language's intonation 😆

Awesome Sam! It’s amazing that I can understand the words that are similar in Spanish but have a different pronunciation in Portuguese.
