Seeing The Life of Pablo in the Top 2 warms my heart because thats my personal favorite album from Kanye. It's his most real and authentic body of work that highlights his newfound Christianity with his connection to the luxurious Los Angeles lifestyle. The rollout is one of the best in recent years and every song is great to amazing.

saying that KSG is not as experimental as other Kanye albums when sonically is more experimental than any other Kanye album is so mind boggling, also its length is almost the same as Ye so I have no idea why wouldnt you rate it. As a kid born in '99 my first Kanye album was Graduation. I mean I heard it as a kid because my sis was a Kanye fan those days. I love both New and Old Kanye, but I get a lil annoyed at the Life of Pablo hype because I feel "too many people say it's underrated" when in reality it is just a decent album. I think Life of Pablo functions as a double-edged sword. Its greatest strength is in it being a "greatest hits" album but it is also its greatest curse. The reason is because of how the album is structured. It isn't structured methodically where the earlier tracks resemble early Kanye and later tracks resemble the new and fresh sounds for a 2016 Kanye. That is what the album should have done. So Volksgeist I have to respectfully disagree with you as my top five is a little bit different. My top five is 1. Late Registration, 2. Yeezus, 3. 808s, 4. Ye, 5. Graduation.

In my state 99% of the music is really melodic kind of music. Now only rap kind of music is getting introduced in Kerala. Kids See Ghosts and ye are one and the same. Literally being made at the same time as Ye, I consider them to be apart of the same album, especially since each one is only 7 tracks each and the themes complement each other so well.
When I’m questioning if The College Dropout should really be my 2nd fav Kanye album and then I remember the meaning of the album and that Last Call and All Falls Down are on there which those two songs alone clear pretty much all of Kanye’s other music
Honestly, for some reason I would say donda was a masterpiece don’t get me wrong , songs that took little to no energy like tell the vision or junya pt2 weren’t that great but the writing on jail and the instruments and gospel for 24 was legendary and it took music to a whole new level. Donda is still relatively new though but it’s I believe when time passes on it’ll be on a lot more top 5s for sure

I get why 808 doesn't get much love, but not only this was a influential album for the following decade, is also an album that says why Kanye is Kanye now, he was on the crest of the wave coming from that trilogy, so throw all that to the window is his first big Kanyeism.
I love the idea of these short and straight to the point 7 song projects and honestly if after 2018 all Kanye did was release two of these a week apart like in 2018 every couple years(so 2020 we get 2, 2023 we get 2, 2025 we get 2)I would’ve been a lot happier with what he’s put out and I think he would’ve gotten better quality because now he’s fighting for the most songs he can for no reason. DAYTONA by Pusha-T was all about having the freedom to drop whenever you want and only because you think it’s a good project and yet despite Kanye’s close ties on the project he didn’t seem to get much out of it with Donda 3 years later and then way too many vultures songs. Vultures should’ve been one album of like 16 tracks maybe 18, not three distinctive albums! Like we could’ve gotten GOOD ASS JOB, a Collab album similar to KSG but with Chance the Rapper! It would’ve been great to have the mindfulness and heavy lyrics of Coloring Book/Acid Rap Chance and having the self aware 2018 Kanye! Could’ve been one of the best in both their discographies and maybe could’ve changed the trajectory of Chance’s career entirely and caused him to relook his debut album The Big Day and not have such a rocky start. I dont understand how kids see ghosts is okay to not include in the list but watch the throne is. The length isnt a problem since ye was the same length. I love both New and Old Kanye, but I get a lil annoyed at the Life of Pablo hype because I feel "too many people say it's underrated" when in reality it is just a decent album. I think Life of Pablo functions as a double-edged sword. Its greatest strength is in it being a "greatest hits" album but it is also its greatest curse. The reason is because of how the album is structured. It isn't structured methodically where the earlier tracks resemble early Kanye and later tracks resemble the new and fresh sounds for a 2016 Kanye. That is what the album should have done. So Volksgeist I have to respectfully disagree with you as my top five is a little bit different. My top five is 1. Late Registration, 2. Yeezus, 3. 808s, 4. Ye, 5. Graduation.

In my state 99% of the music is really melodic kind of music. Now only rap kind of music is getting introduced in Kerala. I love Every kind of music, but when it comes to kanye i think he is the greatest artist of all time. 99% of the kanye songs are perfect to me.

I love Yeezus, the production, the concept, the innovation, the risk, the rawness, but as a rapper it’s far from Kanye’s best rapping so I can’t put that over albums like college drop out, late registration, graduation, dark fantasy. And wtt is way too low on this imo. As far as collaboration albums go I can’t think of one that comes close and in the modern era it kinda set the precedent for collab projects to begin with. Dope vid as always though.
Forgot to add I’ve been saying for a couple years that TLOP has been aging well, I agree with everything you said on that. Late registration is still my favorite mainly for personal memories but tlop feels like dark fantasy on acid, covers the whole spectrum of emotions, a messy collage of a masterpiece
I don’t understand the 808s hate. It’s personally my favorite Kanye album. But I suppose that’s why Kanye is such a musical genius. Every album can be ranked so differently, because they’re all THAT GOOD.
Kids See Ghosts and ye are one and the same. Literally being made at the same time as Ye, I consider them to be apart of the same album, especially since each one is only 7 tracks each and the themes complement each other so well.
When I’m questioning if The College Dropout should really be my 2nd fav Kanye album and then I remember the meaning of the album and that Last Call and All Falls Down are on there which those two songs alone clear pretty much all of Kanye’s other music
Honestly, for some reason I would say donda was a masterpiece don’t get me wrong , songs that took little to no energy like tell the vision or junya pt2 weren’t that great but the writing on jail and the instruments and gospel for 24 was legendary and it took music to a whole new level. Donda is still relatively new though but it’s I believe when time passes on it’ll be on a lot more top 5s for sure
Glad you highlighted 24 as i fell its a very underrated track, but i would like to add that come to life is a top 5 all time ye song, and jesus lord pt. 2 is magnificent, both lyrically from every feature, and in the meditative, elevated vibe that the production brings. And never abandon your family is the only ye song to make me cry the first time i heard it. Donda belongs in the top 5.

I love the idea of these short and straight to the point 7 song projects and honestly if after 2018 all Kanye did was release two of these a week apart like in 2018 every couple years(so 2020 we get 2, 2023 we get 2, 2025 we get 2)I would’ve been a lot happier with what he’s put out and I think he would’ve gotten better quality because now he’s fighting for the most songs he can for no reason. DAYTONA by Pusha-T was all about having the freedom to drop whenever you want and only because you think it’s a good project and yet despite Kanye’s close ties on the project he didn’t seem to get much out of it with Donda 3 years later and then way too many vultures songs. Vultures should’ve been one album of like 16 tracks maybe 18, not three distinctive albums! Like we could’ve gotten GOOD ASS JOB, a Collab album similar to KSG but with Chance the Rapper! It would’ve been great to have the mindfulness and heavy lyrics of Coloring Book/Acid Rap Chance and having the self aware 2018 Kanye! Could’ve been one of the best in both their discographies and maybe could’ve changed the trajectory of Chance’s career entirely and caused him to relook his debut album The Big Day and not have such a rocky start. We could get a LOVE EVERYONE all about cancel culture and acceptance. We could just get a KIDS SEE GHOSTS 2! There is apparently tons of Kanye and Kendrick songs out there, not even having any direction to the album or even just as a mixtape give us 7 of the best songs of the mix!
Yeezus, Life of Pablo & Late Registration in my opinion are his most underrated albums in Ye’s discography

I dont understand how kids see ghosts is okay to not include in the list but watch the throne is. The length isnt a problem since ye was the same length. Cant be the fact that its a collaboration because WTT is here. Also the argument that its similar to her loss and cozy tapes doesnt make sense because its still a kanye album. Its a cudi album as well. Two artists can make an album together and be included in each artists discography. also the argument that kanye has less then half the album be him speaking is kinda ehh considering he produced the whole thing. I love kanye and I think this is a fantastic video but I feel like KSG is too important to leave out as it was an eye opening moment to see kanye release a 10/10 album 15 years into his career.
